Luke’s Hidden Haven, a no kill animal sanctuary and wild life preserve. This is a beautiful time of year when motorists speed off to the New England states to see the turning of the leaves. We at Luke’s Hidden Haven in Rome, Pa see these beautiful vistas. Folks, nothing can be more beautiful than Bradford County Pa in the fall. Stay home and enjoy Pennsylvania!

Say hello to Hani and Kamen. They are Salukis at Luke’s Sanctuary. A perfect couple. One smooth, one feathered. They are sweet, loving, and fun. B & K Grooming keep them looking great! We love their bandanas. They enjoy running free in our Freedom Run. Today, they went to the Athens Veterinary Hospital for a check up snuggling in the backseat of the car and sleeping on the way back. They both came from bad situations and to see them so happy and relaxed makes our hearts sing. These two are looking for sponsors to help with veterinary costs and other necessities. If you would like to sponsor one or both, $10 a month would help. You can use PayPal and our email address [email protected] or you can send a check to Luke Hidden Haven, 915 Harrington Rd., Ulster, PA 18850
Please help us help them!

NEWSBREAK from Luke’s Hidden Haven! In 2027, which is just around the corner, Luke’s Hidden Haven will be celebrating 25 years of Luke’s Hidden Haven support to our surrounding communities. It would be five years since Luke’s became a 501 C3 registered charity, and so then was able to solicit funds. And 100 years since our founder’s (Maunallen) grandfather brought a pair of Saluki hounds back to England from the Middle East. We will be having some spectacular events to share with our supporters, donors, and Luke’s Hidden Haven family! Also, we will be unveiling the open-air metal art exhibit, bequeath to Luke’s Hidden Haven, by Texas artist Evelyn Andrew of Washington, Texas. And finally, the ribbon-cutting and open house for our new Sanctuary kennels, Freedom Runs, and Open Air Events. It will be a very exciting year! Make sure to keep following us on Facebook to keep up with the events!

Luke’s Hidden Haven is an animal sanctuary and a no kill shelter. We are also a wild life protective environment. We are enjoying beautiful weather in Rome Pa surrounded by breathtaking leaf colors. Today was a very special day all around. Early this morning, we were joined by an A team from Expand (formerly Chesapeake) for a community service project -four hard working, friendly, very competent guys. By noon, they had restructured our horse pasture fence. Thank you! We appreciate your support! Mission accomplished. Pictured here are Maunallen and Bruce, owners of Luke’s Hidden Haven (a dog sanctuary currently sheltering 75 dogs. The sanctuary is supported by a five star pet motel Luke’s East Wing Pet Motel) with the four men from Expand. We all had a fun day! Thank you again for all the help!

We need your help!! Because of my ongoing back issues, I am not able to do a lot of heavy work. This includes transporting cats back and forth to the vet's office for spay neuter appointments and other medical appointments. The need is sporatic, not constant so your commitment would not be every week.

This is a chance for you to make a huge differents with minimal time. We need transporters that take cats back and forth to various veterinarians in the community.

Spay neuter transport requires the transporter to pick up the cats at about eight am and then picking up the cats late afternoon. With enough volunteers we can divide this between two volunteers. One in the am and one in the pm.

Once in a while we would ask you to take a cat to the vet for a specific appointment. This is usually a couple hours of your time using your own vehicle. Whether we pay your gas, or you donate the gas, is up to you. We will work with you to make sure the arrangement fits your needs.

We currently need transporters for spay neuter appointments. The appointments are not made yet as we try very hard to make the appointments on days that work the best for the transporters. The Gaia kittens in the photo are ready to go and then they will be ready for adoption

Please contact us immediately if you would like to help with transport. [email protected] or 570-395-3668 If you call, please make sure to leave a message.
