There are a couple of spots left for tomorrow night’s nosework class at the Georgia Dog Gym.

Nosework is a great activity for all breeds and all ages. We have had everything from beagles to salukis come through the program ranging in ages from 8 months to 14 years.
Your dog will thank you!

It’s Nosework graduation day at Georgia Dog Gym!!
Big congratulations to Arya and Gaius on successfully completing the nosework program.
While this is the end of their foundation class it is just the start of their nosework journey. Watching sight hounds thrive in a sport that relies on scent rather than vision makes their achievement even more impressive.

Some of Georgia Dog Gym nosework students traveled to Lawrenceville today to attempt thier Odor Recognition Tests. To say 7 out of 9 tests passed and two titles earned was above expectations is an understatement! These teams have worked diligently on preparing for their tests and their hard work paid off. I am beyond proud of not only the teams performance but also their support of each other. Here’s to happy handlers and tired pups!

Arya the 8 month old whippet puppy had her first full nosework class at the Georgia Dog Gym tonight. The mental challenge that nosework provides really wore her out! It is a great enrichment activity that can be enjoyed by dogs of all ages. As she progresses through her training she will increase her mental stamina, but for now she will take a well earned nap on the ride home.

A common question asked about k9 nosework is what age/ breed is it appropriate for? On top is Arya a 8 weeks old old whippet puppy and on bottom is Jack a 12 year old Italian Greyhound. It is a sport that can be enjoyed by any breed of dog at any stage of life.
