In search of a kennel assistant!

MUST BE:

At least 18 years old
Full or part time (afternoons)
Drug free (will be tested)
No felony convictions or ANY drug convictions
Not afraid of big dogs, little dogs (we know how tough they can be!) or cats- teeth and claws are always a possibility!
Strong- able to lift up to 50 lbs without assistance, and more with team lift
Like to clean- cages, floors, runs, dog and cats, laundry!
A team player, that can take directions but also be a self- starter

In August, we will be closed two Saturdays- Saturday August 8th AND Saturday August 29th.

We will be closed September 5-7th for Labor Day weekend.

We have exciting news! We just found out that our cremation company (Pet Angel) has partnered with Memorial Reefs International! They take cremated remains (ones that used to be scattered at the pet cemetery) and make them into artificial reef balls, to help restore ocean ecosystems!

For anyone wanting to travel with their pets to Mexico this summer!

UPDATE 6/10/26 at 11:10 AM ET: USDA/APHIS has modified its list of species restricted from traveling to Mexico amid the New World screwworm response. Pet dogs are no longer included on the restricted list and may travel to Mexico under previously established procedures.

Restrictions remain in place for other affected species, and dogs entering the U.S. from Mexico still require screwworm inspection/certification.

‼️USDA-APHIS has halted the export of pet dogs and several other animal species to Mexico amid confirmed United States New World screwworm detections.

Veterinary teams should continue monitoring for suspicious wounds, educating clients, and reporting suspected cases to the appropriate animal health authorities.

In June, we will be closed Saturday June 20th, for our once a month closed Saturday.

This Friday May 8th, Dr Johnson will be leaving the clinic at 4pm.

After 4pm, we cannot do any exams or vaccines. (You can still pick up or drop off boarding animals, and pick up medications until our normal closing time at 5:30pm).

We will be closed all day Saturday May 9th. The emergency clinic opens at 5pm Friday, and is open 24/7 until Monday morning.

We will reopen Monday May 11th at 8:00am.

In April, we will be closed Saturday April 18th.

In May, we will be closed Saturday May 9th (so that Dr J can see one of her kids graduate college)
AND Saturday May 23- Monday May 25th for Memorial Day weekend.

Ok, so far, as of Thursday evening April 16th, no work has been done on our railroad tracks! So who knows what their plans are now!
