Get your horse ready and join us for a fun day on the trails! This year's Poker Ride will use the **Aces Poker Run App** to help run the ride and make collecting your poker hands easy and fun.

# # # 🃏 HOW THE POKER RIDE WORKS

🐎 **1. SIGN UP FOR THE RIDE**
Register online before the event by scanning the QR code on the flyer or going to www.martinperformancehorses.com/2026-poker-ride.html
Poker hands are **$10 per hand**, with a **minimum of 2 hands and maximum of 20 hands** per participant. If you are unable to participate on the ride, poker hands will be available to purchase, and cards will be drawn at the PVPHA booth.

📱 **2. DOWNLOAD THE ACES POKER RUN APP**
Before ride day, download the **Aces Poker Run App** to your phone. The app will be used during the Poker Ride to participate and manage your poker hands. If you are not tech savvy, the App allows your hands to be transferred to a friend to be scanned.

🐴 **3. START AT EMPTY SADDLE CLUB**
Check in and get ready to ride! Riders will head out on the designated Poker Ride route.

🃏 **4. BUILD YOUR POKER HANDS ALONG THE RIDE**
As you make your way through the course, you'll use the **Aces Poker Run App** at the designated stops to receive cards and build your poker hands.

The more hands you purchase, the more chances you have to finish with a great hand!

⏰ **5. WATCH THE CLOCK!**
• Last rider out by **10:00 AM**
• Last card must be drawn by **11:30 AM**

🏆 **6. SEE HOW YOUR HAND STACKS UP!**
Participants holding the **TOP 10 HIGHEST POKER HANDS** will get first choice of prizes!

In the event of a tie, there will be a **high-card draw**.

🎟️ **7. STICK AROUND FOR THE RAFFLE!**
Remaining prizes will be raffled off, and raffle tickets may be purchased at the **PVPHA Booth**:

🎟️ 1 ticket — $5
🎟️ 5 tickets — $20

✨ **BONUS:** Your first poker hand receives a **complimentary raffle ticket!**

🏆 Winners will be announced at the **PVPHA Booth at 12:30 PM.**
**You must be present to select your prize — be there to win!**

Proceeds benefit the **PVPHA & Peppertree Foundation**, so every poker hand purchased helps support our local equestrian community.

This weekends sorting jackpot has been rescheduled for August 22.

Due to a number of folks being out of town or having prior commitments, we have decided to postpone our Ranch Sorting Clinic originally scheduled for Saturday, May 30th. A new date will be announced once finalized, and we look forward to getting everyone together soon.

Come get ready for our next sorting jackpot. We have few spots open for the sorting clinic on May 30. If you are new to sorting, we are running a #2 Incentive in both the Adult and Youth classes for the jackpot. Which means there is a side pot if both the riders on a team are Beginners (comfortable sorting no faster than a trot). Here is the date for our next ranch sorting clinic. We will be having a two mini clinics, one for Juniors and another for Adults. For the adults, Empty Saddle Club members will have priority to sign up. After next Wednesday if spots are still open, they will become available to Non-Members. The clinic is open to all levels of sorters, and we are excited for everyone to learn the sport. To sign up please text Sean at (310) 418-4583.

Congratulations to today's Empty Saddle Club sorting winners.

For the adults, winning the class with 20 head in a 98.26 earning $230/sorter was Kevin Fitzpatrick and Sandy Sivert. Followed by Cody Arbuckle and Kevin Fitzpatrick winning $150/sorter with 16 head in a 100.92.

For the Youth, winning the class with 10 head in a 113.11 was Chase Tydlaska and Hannah Duimestra earining $75/sorter.

We look forward to seeing everyone at next months sorting. Series standings have been posted. Also a reminder that this years standings will be determined by the number of cattle sorted for the whole series.
