About Duke: His specific breed might be a mystery, but Duke's massive presence and beautiful, coarse coat are undeniable.

Caring for an intact boar of this size takes immense dedication. As you can imagine, his daily grocery bill alone is substantial, alongside the specialized veterinary care required to keep a senior giant of his stature thriving and agile.

🌈 Bentley's Sanctuary is seeking a dedicated, experienced Farmhand who views animal care as more than just a job.

✨We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit safe haven for abused, neglected, and abandoned animals. Our mission is to provide these soulful beings with the love, dignity, and specialized care they deserve for the rest of their lives.

🧑‍🌾 We are looking for a teammate who is compassionate and loves all animals on a soul level, understanding that for many of our residents, this is the first time they have truly felt safe.

🕊️The Role & Heart of the Work:

Soulful Care: Providing a gentle, loving presence while feeding and caring for animals with diverse histories of trauma.

Daily Sanctuary Rhythm: Punctual opening and closing of shelters; feeding and watering according to specific needs.

Meticulous Sanitation: Daily mucking and weekly deep-cleaning of pens and shelters to ensure a pristine, healthy environment.

Land & Safety: Pasture care and diligent fencing maintenance to keep our sanctuary secure.

General Maintenance: Keeping shelters and paddocks in top shape so our residents have the best possible home.

💞Who You Are:

Deeply Compassionate: You have a profound connection with animals and a patient, gentle approach to their care.

Experienced: You possess a strong background in handling and caring for various animals (livestock/farm experience is essential).

Proactive & Handy: You notice the small details—a loose board, a change in behavior—and are capable of handling general maintenance and fencing repairs.

Physically Capable: You are comfortable with the physical demands of mucking, lifting, and working outdoors in all weather.

✨ Position Details & Compensation:

Location: 11000 E. Evans Creek Rd., Rogue River OR 97537

Schedule: Day begins at opening and ends at closing. Subject to change based on needs of the animals/sanctuary.

Compensation: The pay for this position is based on an energy exchange. We provide free lodging and utilities in exchange for your dedicated work and care of the sanctuary.

Requirement: Because we serve a vulnerable population of animals, an extensive background check will be conducted for all serious applicants.

Healing Hands for Your Animal Companions 🐾✨

Reiki is a gentle, non-invasive energy healing technique that works beautifully alongside traditional veterinary care. Because it is guided by the animal’s comfort level, it is a wonderful option for pets who are sensitive or stressed.

Stress & Anxiety Relief: Perfect for rescue animals, loud noises (like thunderstorms), or changes in the home.

Support for Seniors: Helps provide comfort and relaxation for aging joints and muscles.

Post-Surgery Recovery: Encourages a deep state of relaxation to support the body’s natural healing process.
