This is Charlie, he is 2 years old and is in need of a new home. He is in SW Missouri near Springfield. I believe in full disclosure. Despite Charlie being an amazing dog after 2 years he has desided that he no longer wants to get along with the other much smaller and older dogs in the home. I have been unable to fix the issue. I believe he needs to be one of maybe two dogs of similar size or even the only dog in the home. He loves his people however he has never been around very young children as our children and grandchildren are all adults. He is very energetic and gets over excited when you leave and come home he misses you a lot. He has never been off lead outside of the fenced in yard and is doggie door trained. I love him very much and am only doing this because I feel it is best for both him and the other dogs in the home. His a good and gorgeous boy. You can PM if interested. Would want a vet reference

Lucy and Linus are looking for their fur-ever home! They are a bonded pair and must go together.

These sweet babies were found abandoned in a parking lot when they were about 13 weeks old. Lucy had a fractured hip and her brother Linus had not left her side. They have since been under the care of their foster mom and the folks here at Best Friends. Lucy is healing up nicely and these two are ready to go to their forever home! They are both very sweet kitties and have no issue with friendly dogs. To keep them safe, they will need to be indoor only kitties. Please feel free to share online or inquire about adopting at our front desk.

Hello, it is not a great pleasure that I am having to write this post today. Unfortunately, we had to board 2 pets last night against our wishes. After having staff stay close to 2 hours past closing waiting on a long time client to pick up her pets, we had to make the difficult decision for them to stay the night. Thankfully, since we are a boarding facility we had the adequate and appropriate means to do so but still a decision we never thought we would have to make and never had in the almost 6 years we've been open. We close at 4 PM daily unless finishing a dog puts us over in which case the client is always notified prior or if prior arrangements have been discussed. It is your responsibility as a pet parent to check on your pets while in our care if communication has been missed. Ignoring our calls or not returning at a time you have communicated to us is not only unfair to our staff but to your pets as well. I am sure that ALL dogs would be much more comfortable in their own homes but with our staff living 45 minutes away and staying well past closing, at some point we have to make the decision to leave.
We appreciate every single one of our clients who respect our time and we try our absolute hardest to make accommodations anywhere we can but we do have to draw a line when our time is taken advantage of. Thank you for all of your continued support in helping our small business make it through these rough couple years and keep in mind that some policies will need to be reinforced such as our late fees, no show fees, and now our after hours fees.
