The Bureau of Reclamation's report, "Final_ST Report_22081_w App_508_2025-03-07.pdf", highlights how trained canines are revolutionizing water conservation. Here is why this method holds so much promise:

High Accuracy: Active leaks are routinely confirmed within just 5 feet of a canine alert, with some dogs boasting a 99.7% detection rate up to 15 feet deep!

Super Senses: With 300 million olfactory receptors, they sniff out chlorine at parts per trillion—like finding one drop in an Olympic pool!

Material Blind: Unlike acoustic tech that struggles on concrete, plastic, or composite pipes, dogs don't care about pipe material. If it leaks, they smell it.
