I have had two or 3 beyond special horses in my life and just recently I realized the bonds we had were not just a special horse with a special connection but a bond built over years. Years of honesty , fairness, care, love, discipline and respect.
Horses that nicker to me when I walk into the barn, even though there are several other people present. Horses that watch every move I make and give their whole heart when I call on them. It’s an amazing connection and I’m thankful to have experienced it with more than one horse.

As the operator of Right Lead Ranch , and Darcie Lynn Reining Horses a professional trainer, my responsibilities often extend beyond time in the saddle. This weekend was dedicated to arena maintenance—resetting the drag and redistributing footing from the walls to ensure optimal riding conditions. Looking forward to starting the week on freshly prepared ground.
