This tiny expert in stealth clearly believes if they can’t see us… we definitely can’t see them.

Don’t worry—no kittens were harmed in the making of this hide-and-seek championship. Just maximum silliness, mild dramatic performance, and a strong commitment to avoidance. 🐱💨

If your cat also turns into a “furniture-level escape artist” at the vet, just know… we understand. We respect the strategy. We’ve seen it all. 😌

🍦🐾 National Ice Cream Day 🍦🐾

It’s the one day where it’s completely acceptable to think about ice cream all day long… and we fully support that. 😄

While you’re enjoying your favorite scoop, here’s your friendly reminder that not all ice cream is pet-friendly—many flavors (especially chocolate, xylitol, and lots of sugar or dairy) can be unsafe for our furry family members.

If you want to include your pet in the celebration, try a safer “pup cup” style treat instead:
🐶 Plain whipped cream (in small amounts)
🐱 Pet-safe frozen treats from your local pet store
🐾 DIY frozen broth cubes or pet-safe yogurt alternatives (check with your vet first!)

Most importantly: those puppy eyes are strong, but sharing your cone isn’t always the best idea. 😉

Fires can happen fast—and when they do, our pets rely completely on us to keep them safe. Today is a great reminder to make sure your household has a plan that includes every member of the family (even the furry ones).

Here are a few simple ways to help protect your pets:

🏷️ Keep ID up to date – Microchips and ID tags are critical if you get separated during an emergency.
🚪 Plan an escape route – Make sure you know where your pets hide and how you’ll get them out quickly.
🐶 Practice getting them used to carriers/leashes – In an emergency, hesitation costs time.
🔥 Pet alert window/cling decals – Let firefighters know pets are inside your home.
🕯️ Be mindful of hazards – Candles, space heaters, stovetops, and open flames are common risks around curious pets.

If you’re not home, keep pets in safe, contained areas near exits when possible—and always double-check that doors and windows can’t accidentally trap them inside.

🍫🐾 Happy World Chocolate Day! 🐾🍫

We love chocolate… but our pets definitely shouldn't! ❤️

While chocolate is a favorite treat for many of us, it can be toxic to both dogs and cats because it contains theobromine and caffeine—ingredients that pets can't process the way people can.

🚫 Even small amounts can cause:
🤢 Vomiting or diarrhea
💓 Increased heart rate
😟 Restlessness or hyperactivity
🐾 Tremors or seizures
⚠️ In severe cases, chocolate poisoning can become life-threatening.

The darker the chocolate, the more dangerous it is. Baking chocolate, cocoa powder, and dark chocolate contain the highest levels of theobromine.

Instead, celebrate World Chocolate Day by treating your furry friend to something made just for them—like a pet-safe biscuit, frozen treat, or a little extra playtime! 🦴🐶🐱

☀️🐾 Beat the Heat: Keep Your Pets Safe This Summer! 🐾☀️

Summer adventures are more fun when everyone stays safe—including our furry family members! As temperatures rise, it's important to remember that pets can overheat much more quickly than we do.

Here are a few simple ways to help keep them cool:

🌡️ Avoid the hottest part of the day. Walk your dog in the early morning or evening when temperatures are lower.

🐾 Protect those paws! If the pavement is too hot for the back of your hand for 7 seconds, it's too hot for your pet's paws.

💧 Keep fresh water available at all times, whether you're at home or on the go.

🌳 Provide plenty of shade whenever your pet is spending time outdoors.

🚗 Never leave your pet in a parked vehicle. Even with the windows cracked, temperatures inside a car can become dangerous within minutes.

⚠️ Know the signs of heatstroke:

Excessive panting
Drooling
Bright red gums
Weakness or stumbling
Vomiting or diarrhea
Collapse

If you think your pet may be overheating, move them to a cool area, offer cool (not ice-cold) water, and contact your veterinarian immediately.
