PetSmart - We ordered online and paid full price for our monthly shipment of cat food. Why did we receive AN ENTIRE CASE of cans that were marked down 50% off after paying FULL PRICE? I'm beyond frustrated at trying to contact you with our case number to rectify this. I'm absolutely appalled that anyone in your company saw this as an appropriate decision.

Every day I miss Pet Valu more and more. Chewy is owned by the same company that owns Petsmart, and we've had just as many issues ordering from them. Petco isn't better either. Pet Valu really was the greatest pet store and having them pull out of the US is STILL hitting us where it hurts - the quality of product and help we can get.

I'm a Certified Feline Behaviorist. My suggestions carry the weight of someone with experience and education about what is best for our cats, both in nutrition and behavior. Petsmart continues to disappoint me in such a way that makes me absolutely unable to suggest them to any and all clients.

Urgent:
I'm helping rehome a pair of bonded male cats, Marshmallow and Pumpkin, who are dealing with some stress and need a loving forever home who can help them relax. They're both just under 2 years old, incredibly cuddly and sweet, and they want nothing more than to spend time with you.
They are bonded to each other, and need to go home together. In the right situation and circumstances, I believe Marshmallow and Pumpkin could live with other cats, but it's preferred if they do not.
I'm currently trying to rehome out of the south Jersey area, but I can help rehome elsewhere if needed.
They are both neutered, and will be up to date on all of their vaccines. Negative for FIV and FELV.
If you're interested in Marshmallow and Pumpkin's story, please message me, as I will be handling the rehoming aspect. If you're not currently able to take in these sweet and affectionate boys, please share this story so more people can see it.

Here are two important items for every pet owner (not just cats!)

Hydrogen Peroxide is important, but possibly not for the reason you think! It can be used in pets to induce vomiting if they have consumed something dangerous. Activated charcoal is in the same vein, but it's good to have both around just in case! Hydrogen peroxide should only be used on wounds if you have been instructed to do so by your veterinarian!

Remember! If your cat has gotten into something they shouldn't have, it's important to have both of these available. CALL ANIMAL POISON CONTROL IMMEDIATELY. Do not guess how much activated charcoal or hydrogen peroxide is okay. Your local animal poison control will know exactly how much your pet will need based off a few questions (so be prepared to tell them how much your pet weighs, what exactly they are, how much they ate, how long ago it was eaten, along with a few other things). These products are important to have around, but should ALWAYS be administered with the help or guidance of a professional!

If you don't know the best number to call, ask your local vet! There are emergency numbers available at all times of the day, and it's a number you should always keep with you!

Happy Monday, everyone!

I get a lot of questions about food puzzles, or problem behaviors typically easily solved with the use of food puzzles. But unfortunately, most of these toys don't have detailed instructions for the most beneficial use for our feline friends!

I use this site: http://foodpuzzlesforcats.com/

It really gives first time puzzle food providers a great idea what they can realistically expect, and some fantastic homemade, cost effective options.

So how about you and your cats? Have you used puzzle feeders before? Which ones have you had success with? I'll be posting my own stories in the comments.

(This is not an ad, and I am not being paid for the promotion of this website, OR any of the toys listed in the comments. I also have not created this website, however it has been the most in-depth resource that's ever been shared with me).

Welcome to Food Puzzles for Cats, a one stop resource for information about feeding your cat using foraging toys! We were inspired to create this website after we published our paper about food puzzles in the Journal of Feline Medicine and Surgery with Drs. Tony Buffington and Leticia Dantas! We fel...

Hey, everyone! For some reason Facebook is not letting me check my messages or respond to anything on my page, and it's been this way for a few days. While I'm waiting for a fix, if you have any questions, please direct them to [email protected] !

I'm so sorry for the inconvenience but I'm trying to see if I can get Facebook to work with me for a quick fix!
