Myotonic fainting kid weaning has commenced!! We wean multiples gradually from their dams, every week or so another group will be weaned.

LCD Kayne wrapped up our Oberhasli kidding season with a nice set of doe / buck kids yesterday evening while I was milking the others. 🙂. In total, 5 doelings & 3 bucklings total for our Oberhasli girls.

Some of the goats & kids took refuge in the barn isle for the storm. This is putting a wrench on the evening milking. 😅

Oberhasli kidding season is in full swing with just one gal left to kid. Lady Gaga, Simone & Hollywood all kidded on their own terms. Selexa needed a wee bit of encouragement for the final push - it was a rather large single. These girls are so very pleasant!

When you skip checking ligaments & you still have the Oberhasli herd in the back 40 … that’s the day they’ll kid! 🫣. I love how Selexa is “hiding” from me 🤣. And Lady Gaga’s set of twins were possibly born yesterday as they were quite active when discovered. 😅.

Little Annie wrapped up our Spring Myotonic kidding season with doe / buck twins! Not only did she quietly kid overnight & had them cleaned, fed & napping by morning chores, her stall was spotless. You’d never know she kidded other than the two wee ones running around now.
