Come join us for our last camp of the year at Equine Elegance LLC!

Our Winter Camp is a 6-week journey filled with adventure, connection, growth, and of course, plenty of time with the horses.

Throughout these six weeks, participants will have opportunities to build:

‱ Confidence
‱ Leadership skills
‱ Teamwork and communication
‱ Meaningful relationships
‱ Trust and connection with the horses
‱ Problem-solving and independence
‱ Emotional awareness and resilience

There will be adventures, team-building activities, leadership challenges, horse time, special activities, awards, laughter, reflection, and moments of healing and growth.

But most importantly, this camp is about creating a place where kids can be themselves, try new things, discover what they are capable of, and build connections that matter.

Every week brings something a little different, and every participant gets the opportunity to grow in their own way.

Our horses have a way of teaching us some of life’s biggest lessons — patience, trust, boundaries, communication, confidence, and how to keep moving forward even when something feels difficult.

Let’s finish the year together with six weeks of adventure, friendship, horses, growth, and a whole lot of Equine Elegance magic.

Fall is finally here.

With it comes cooler temperatures, changing skies, shorter days, and sometimes even changing emotions. There can be so much transition this time of year, but there is also so much beauty.

Maybe this is your reminder to pause.

Take a seat.
Take a slow, deep breath in.
Let your shoulders relax.
And for just a moment, let your worries be quiet.

Look around you.

Notice the colors. The clouds. The changing leaves. The horses. The little moments that are easy to overlook when life feels busy.

Then turn that same attention toward yourself.

Look at how far you have come.
Look at the goals you have reached.
Look at the things you have accomplished.
Look at the challenges you have made it through.

And look at you now.

Maybe you are doing something amazing.
Maybe you are simply taking one small step forward.
Maybe you made one positive change.
Maybe your mindset is beginning to shift.
Maybe you are learning to speak to yourself with a little more kindness.

That matters.

ïżŒ A VERY IMPORTANT FAIR WARNING FROM EQUINE ELEGANCE

If you come to Equine Elegance, do NOT show up with your chai tea.

I repeat: DO NOT BRING YOUR CHAI.

Preacher and Doc have somehow decided that if you have a cup of chai in your hand, it is their personal responsibility to investigate. And by “investigate,” I mean they want to steal it, drink it, and then stare at you like:

“Okay
 where’s mine?”

And honestly, I can’t even be mad because horses are a reflection of their owner
 and anyone who knows me knows I LOVE my chai tea.

Apparently, I’ve created tiny four-legged chai addicts.

The problem is, I’m willing to share.

They want the whole cup.

So consider yourself warned. If you walk through the farm carrying chai, you better be prepared to defend it. 😂

We have two spots remaining for our upcoming Mindful Riding Camp!

Our first day is this Friday, with the second day taking place the following Friday. This camp is designed to slow down, connect with the horse, build confidence, and create a mindful experience in the saddle.

We also have our Winter Six-Week Camp beginning October 9! This six-week experience gives riders the opportunity to build skills, confidence, connection, and a deeper understanding of their horse in a supportive environment.

Limited spaces are available for both programs.

Today is our FIRST Homeschool Group day at Equine Elegance!

We’ll be meeting from 1:00–4:00 PM for an afternoon of learning, horses, hands-on activities, and connection.

Our first lesson is:

Meet the Horse: Anatomy & Communication

Students will learn the basic parts of the horse and begin exploring how horses communicate without words. We’ll look at ears, eyes, posture, facial expressions, tail movement, and overall body position to better understand what a horse may be communicating.

This is about more than learning the parts of a horse. It’s about learning to observe, listen, and understand another living being.

We’re excited to welcome our homeschool students for our first afternoon together. We can’t wait to see where this year of learning takes us!

I give you permission to heal.

Those words can feel powerful, can’t they?

To have someone say, “You have permission to heal. You are allowed to let go. You are allowed to become someone new.”

But what if you didn’t need someone else to give you that permission?

What if you could give it to yourself?

Maybe you feel anxious. Depressed. Lonely. Lost. Confused. Maybe you’ve spent so much time surviving that you’ve forgotten what it feels like to ask yourself what you actually want.

So ask yourself:

What do I want to feel differently?

What do I need?

What am I holding onto that no longer serves me?

What would change if I stopped waiting for the “right” time, the right person, or permission from someone else?

Healing doesn’t mean pretending that everything is okay. It doesn’t mean forgetting what happened or moving forward before you are ready.

Healing can simply begin with recognizing that your life is worth caring for.

You are allowed to change your direction.

You are allowed to set boundaries.

You are allowed to rest.

You are allowed to pursue something you once thought was impossible.

You are allowed to become a version of yourself that you haven’t met yet.

And you are allowed to begin before you have everything figured out.

So today, I’m not giving you permission to heal.

I’m reminding you that you already have it.

Now give yourself permission to take the first step.

How Do You Measure Progress?

I am currently recruiting participants for my IRB-approved doctoral research study exploring how equine-assisted practitioners document, evaluate, and interpret progress among neurodivergent individuals.

I am seeking professionals who meet the following criteria:

At least 18 years of age
Based in the United States
Work professionally with horses and/or provide equine-related services
Have at least two years of experience working with neurodivergent individuals
Are available for one confidential, approximately 60-minute Zoom interview
Licensure or certification is not required. I am interested in learning from professionals with experience in equine-assisted work and working with neurodivergent individuals.

What does participation involve?

Participants will complete:

One confidential 60-minute Zoom interview, which will be audio recorded
An optional brief demographic questionnaire
The interview will be scheduled at a time convenient for you
A $10 Amazon gift card will be emailed after completing the interview
The study focuses on how professionals recognize, document, evaluate, and interpret progress in their work. Individual participant information will be kept confidential, and personal identifying information will not be shared in the research findings.
