Just a friendly reminder…
If you’re a no-call, no-show to a scheduled pickup time, then you forfeit buying any animals from us in the future.
I always confirm the day before pickup, and I send multiple messages the day of to let buyers know when we leave and our expected ETA, if we have to make any other stops along the way, or if we hit traffic, etc. For people to ghost us is rude.
From now on, if I don’t hear back from buyers the day before pickup confirming the time and place, and if I don’t hear from them at least once the day of, then I won’t be making the trip to meet for pickup.
It’s not fair to us to spend time catching ducks and chickens (or doing paperwork for rabbits) and to waste our gas to have buyers not show up. And it’s not fair to the animals to have be stressed like that just to turn around and come back home.
I understand things happen. I understand emergencies come up. All I’m asking for is a little courtesy to say, “Hey, can we reschedule?” No explanation necessary. (It’s also okay if you change your mind. Just let me know, and don’t leave me hanging.)
Let’s all remember to be courteous and respectful as we’re buying livestock this spring. ❤️
Thanks for coming to my TED talk. 😂
