Malcolm the AR Siberian👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Malcolm went to Gray, TN this weekend and came home with a Best of Op, Best in Breed & Owner Handled for a point!
We got to experience the Group Ring in Regular and NOHS.
He did such an amazing job and I am so incredibly proud of him for how he showed. It was a loooooong day in super hot weather, but he powered through.
We have 5 points towards our CH!

The first and only..
AIR RETRIEVING SIBERIAN HUSKY!!

Mal was not feeling the dock this weekend.
It was terribly cold and he just did not want to jump in. We powered through a couple of very sad distance jumps and prepared to debut in Air Retrieve.
Mal and I argued on the end of the dock for the majority of the time allotted to jump😅
He heard the judge start the countdown and decided that it was time to stop torturing me.
He finally made his jump, getting a 6ft grab.
I chose to withdraw him after this. I also scratched him for the rest of the weekend.

He made it clear that he needed some practice before another event. Something was off this weekend and we gotta go back to basics in making the dock super fun again.
But I have no doubt that he will be back in business before our next even mid-June!
Maybe then, we will be able to see how far he can actually AR!

For now, I am just so so proud of him 🩵

Mal did such a GOOD job tonight in agility!!
I am so encouraged.
He was watching, listening, and thinking all at the same time which is… unlike him😅
I had my leash dragging for the majority of the class, we went completely off leash a couple of times - wonderful man!
We practiced weave entries, wrapping jump arms, tunnels, and driving through jumps.
He had a really good time.

The driving through jumps brought me back to flyball.
I am hoping, so much, that I will be able to dedicate to flyball at some point this year because he would love it.

Beans got his SHCA Newsletter feature for the second season in a row!
We’re shooting for one significant title each season for the whole year😂*

(This description was sent in 2 seperate emails, that’s why it repeats itself😅 oops!)

*this is mostly a joke. I’m hoping for the AR title will be Summer ‘26 but I don’t know after that.

Malcolm took home a UKC Best In Show Friday evening!
I am so proud of how he showed, it absolutely was the best we have ever shown together.
He was amazing💛
We have two more shows Sunday to wrap up our weekend and then it’s back to the AKC world next weekend in Franklin!

During our second Excellent run, Mal had nothing left in the gas tank. The mental battery had shorted out. He stepped into the ring, very done with the long day, with full intentions to not qualify.

Which led to those questionable decision making skills, previously mentioned😂

He did not want to heel, or participate at all, then he remembered seeing a baggie of hotdogs laying on that table by the exit gate. When the opportunity presented itself, he took it.
He bounded over to the table and had himself a good ol’ time!
Thankfully, I was able to apprehend the escapee without any major incident.
It was stupid cute and everyone was laughing at his pure, unbridled joy.

I’m glad we could do that for them😂

We will be taking a step out of the Rally ring for a while, to pursue Agility & Obedience!

Enjoy my silly goose, silly goosing his way through life🩵
