Just saying I half ass know what I'm doing!!!! Dog training isn't about training the dog #1. Its about educating and giving the owners the knowledge and hands on tools to shape and mold their dog into what they want with being as selfless as possible. Its about being truthful, honest, loyal, committed, and much more to your clients and to the dogs. Its explaining that relationships are ment to be selfless not selfish. You have to understand that each dog is different but the same but different and I know that sounds crazy but if you know you know. Every dog just wants us to be the best leader, provider, and guide for them and understanding what that looks like is something not a lot of people know or grasp. Guys thank you all that have given me the opportunity to work with you. I hope for the people reading this that I haven't worked with that may be on the fence just shoot me a call 815-482-6171. I will talk with you and help as much as I can. Let's get your relationship with your dog where you would like it to be.

Been a little while since I've posted but life has been busy and well the weather has sucked. With that though things have also been changing around here. As spring creeps up please keep and eye on the page. I will be doing 1 pack walk a month and hopefully be securing a place I can host a weekend educational seminar this spring and summer. I will also be at the all pet expo March 21st at the sports complex in Rockford doing another demonstration/educational power hour. Sorry for the delay unfortunately I was not able to secure a place to hold the seminar. I do believe I will be able to have a place either in the winter time which would be great because it would be indoors or definitely come spring. I will be looking at dates to do at least one or two more pack walks before the snow flies.

Looking to do another packwalk when it cools down guys. This heat is not ideal for a 2-4hr outdoor class/walk. I have been considering doing a 2 day seminar at the new roscoe community center if I had enough people interested. This would be open to anyone. We would be going over a lot as far as understanding dog behavior, communicating with your dog, addressing and correcting unwanted behaviors, establishing a symbiotic relationship with your dog, dogs daily necessities, dog socialization, basic commands, greeting events with people and other dogs, what is aggression and what is reactivity, and how important the walking event is and why it NEEDS to be structured. There would be time for open discussion/questions and i would be using dogs to work with to demonstrate different skills and things that you could use with your own dog. Please let me know if this would be something you might be interested in if I were to set it up.

Walking your dog isn't always about giving your dog freedom to explore. In fact I'd be willing to bet most people's dogs need more structured walks than freedom during the walk. The more structure you give, the more trust and respect you'll get, which will make you feel more confident when you give your dog freedom only after the freedom has been earned.
