THE FIGHT CONTINUES. BUT SO DOES THE JOY. ❤️🐾

Today marks one year since Jane underwent the major surgery we hoped would put cancer behind us.
Over this past year, if you walked through our doors, you were greeted with the same warm welcome, heartfelt smile and excitement to see your dog that you have always known.
What you may not have known is that sometimes there was pain, fear and uncertainty behind that smile.
But there were also dogs.
Lots and lots of dogs.
And somehow, they have an incredible way of making everything else disappear for a little while.
Over the past several weeks, we have quietly been navigating the news that Jane's cancer has returned. We weren't ready to share much because we didn't yet know exactly what the road ahead would look like. There were tests, appointments and a lot of waiting for answers.
Now we have those answers. We have a plan of care, chemotherapy dates are being set, and we know what comes next.
Because so many of you are no longer simply customers, but truly part of our HoundsTown family, it felt like the right time to bring you into this part of our journey too.
Jane is getting ready to fight again.
We've already started shopping for dog-themed head caps just in case that famous red mane decides to thin out. Because even in something this difficult, we're going to find reasons to laugh, be grateful and keep looking forward.
And HoundsTown is a very big one.
Throughout everything this past year, we never took our finger off the pulse.
We continued improving, investing in better ways to care for your dogs, giving back and finding new ways to make HoundsTown and our community even better. Alongside our incredible team, we showed up every single day and gave the dogs entrusted to us everything we had.
That will not change. If anything, we will give it even more.
We want HoundsTown Space Coast to continue to thrive through this. We want busy playrooms, tails coming through those doors, new families joining ours and more opportunities to improve and give back.
Because those dogs aren't something Jane needs a break from while she goes through treatment.
They are part of her therapy.
Seeing HoundsTown continue to thrive, watching our team succeed and hearing those dogs coming through the doors gives her something incredibly positive to focus on.
And we want to be very clear about something.
We are not sharing this asking for sympathy, and we are not asking for donations toward Jane's medical care.
We're simply asking you to continue supporting our small business the way this incredible community always has.
Keep bringing us your dogs. Keep trusting us with their care. Tell your friends about us. Help us welcome new families and continue doing the work that means so much to both of us.
Quite frankly, bring us the dogs. ❤️
Bring us the happy tails, slobbery kisses, crazy daycare stories and all the joy that comes with them.
Your continued support allows this little business that means the world to Jane to not simply carry on, but to continue to thrive. And in return, we promise to continue giving your dogs, our families and this community everything we have and more.
There is a long road ahead. But we also have an incredible team surrounding us, a business we love, a community we believe in and hundreds of four-legged reasons to keep smiling.
Cancer may have returned.
But it does not get to take away our joy. It does not get to lower our standards. It does not get to stop us from moving forward. And it certainly doesn't get to decide our future.
One year later, we're still here.
Still grateful. Still thriving. Still loving on dogs. Still giving back. Still finding ways to be better.
And still fighting like hell for everything we love. ❤️🐾
