🐾 A little change to tonight’s Nail Clinic! 🐾

We have some exciting things happening behind the scenes, which means tonight’s Nail Clinic will look a little different! Instead of your usual Mariah and Marissa duo, we’ll have just one groomer running Nail Clinic this evening.

We ask that everyone please bring a little extra patience tonight! Wait times may be longer than usual, but we’ll be working as quickly and safely as possible to get everyone taken care of. ❤️

We’re still here tonight from 6–7pm!

❤️ Celebrating Women-Owned Business Day!

For 40 years, Donna has poured her heart into Petropolis, growing it into the business it is today. What started with one woman and a love for animals has grown into a place that has cared for generations of pets and their families.

Today, Donna has her daughters, Mariah and Marissa, by her side at the shop. They’re taking on more of the management and day-to-day responsibilities while learning from the woman who built Petropolis from the ground up.

We’re so proud of everything Donna has accomplished and even more excited to continue growing the business she started all those years ago. ❤️🐾

🦨 YOUR DOG GOT SKUNKED… NOW WHAT?! \
First things first - DON’T GET THEM WET! Skunk spray is oily, and adding water before treating it can make the odor even harder to remove.

👀 CHECK THEIR EYES
Look for redness, squinting or irritation. If needed, flush their eyes with saline or lukewarm water.

🧴 TREAT THE COAT + ODOR
Apply any option below to the DRY coat, avoiding the eyes and face. Let sit for about 5–7 minutes, then rinse thoroughly.

Professional products we recommend:
• AOE (Animal Odor Eliminator) Skunk-Off
• Nature’s Miracle Skunk Odor Remover

Nothing on hand? Try this at-home mixture:
• 1 quart 3% hydrogen peroxide
• ¼ cup baking soda
• 1 tsp Dawn dish soap
Always mix fresh and never store leftovers. Hydrogen peroxide may also lighten some coats.

🦨 DON’T BE SURPRISED IF THE SMELL COMES BACK!
Skunk oil can linger on the coat for several weeks and may take multiple treatments to fully neutralize. Even a little moisture -
damp grass, rain or a bath - can bring that skunky smell right back!

🐾 PRO TIP: Keep your freshly skunked pup OUTSIDE until treatment starts… your house will thank you. 😂
