A Medical Miracle !!! You guys must read!!!This gorgeous German Shepherd, I was asked to go through the LA Shelter system, I was told there were so many beautiful shepherds being euthanized, and could I help , and they were right, we took 5 or 6 right away, but this one stood out above the rest, and I went back to find him again, only this time I adopted him, 10 years old, set in his ways, regal, sophisticated, intelligent, I knew at his age he’d never be chosen for a home, and the shelter medical team reported on his paperwork arthritis in his back legs,
He was still exceptional, and I was committed to taking care of him forever
After our vet took more x rays and more exams, it was concluded it was spinal degenerative disease, not arthritis at all,
Okay, so now we do the research on what can possibly help him be better, lots of supplements and special diet!
But last week, he woke up and didn’t move, didn’t get up to go outside, just laid there confused, I helped him up, helped him go outside, still no movement on his own, maybe his spine gave out, maybe it was that time
More research, we exhaust every avenue and never give up, on any of them, our vet recommended a specialist with state of the art surgery to fix him, cost- more than any of us will ever see in a life time
So more research, and found red light therapy, will definitely try it
I ordered two, one on an adjustable stand, the other a band that secured around his waist,
He couldn’t get up enough to put anything around him, that didn’t work
But the other one could be adjusted perfectly for treatments
Two Treatments! Just two, in two days he was wobbly but up!!! The end of the day, he was back to what you saw in his video!!
All of you that have these dogs have got to look into it! It gave me my dog back for who knows how long but he’s back, I think he even moves faster, he got in the pool yesterday after a ball he was chasing with one of the others, he dove under water to retrieve it and dropped it outside of the pool for his friend, needed a little help getting in a little encouragement getting out but he did it
Now I’m researching stairs for him !!!!!
Thank you God and Thank you all for reading his story !!!

Beautiful Great Pyrenees girls need a home, they are 2 left of a litter of 10! They are very bonded, going on 3 months old they’re already huge, and already patrolling the back fence line early evenings! We bring them inside at night and they sleep all day , they’re already house trained and doing great inside, we would hate to see them separated, we also watch them sit with the horses while they chew on whatever they found or roll around in the grass together
They’re precious !!
See a video of them awake below!!!

Congratulations Walter!
He finally was able to move into a house of his own!! He came in as an emergency rescue, a big boy labeled aggressive at the shelter and scheduled for euthanasia, we didn’t know how huge he really was until he got here, and our 54 “ kennels were even too small, so necessity breeds invention and we turned our horse trailer into a studio apartment for him!!! He was safe and secure but we knew he needed more, and this month we had a cabin become empty that already had his name on it!!!!
He’s more content than ever now, he sits on his porch and watch’s everything going on around him!!!

Bruce the Dog needs our voices to be heard , please read his story , and share, please contact Ventura County Animal Shelter and show your support for this beautiful dog

Bruce is a 3-year-old Great Pyranose dog who has been sentenced to death by Esteban Rodrigues, the director of the Ventura County Animal Shelter.

When Bruce was 3 months old, he was adopted from the Santa Paula Animal Rescue Center (SPARC). The woman who adopted Bruce had a home and family and things seemed to be perfect. Then the woman lost her home and her life unraveled, causing her and Bruce to live in the streets

Bruce is currently in the custody of Ventura County Animal Services following a series of incidents that occurred while he was living in unstable circumstances in the community and in the streets with his owner
These incidents occurred under conditions that do not reflect how Bruce behaves in a safe, stable environment.

Since being impounded, Bruce has spent several months confined to a kennel 24 hours a day, with little to no opportunity for normal movement or enrichment. During that time, he has not displayed aggression in a controlled shelter environment, according to available observations and staff notes.

There is no documented history of aggression prior to the circumstances that led to these incidents.

A court has authorized euthanasia. However, a qualified sanctuary has stepped forward, offering secure, lifetime placement and assuming full responsibility, Safe, non-lethal options exist—and have been successfully used in similar cases involving dogs from far more severe backgrounds.
Despite this, no independent behavioral evaluation has been conducted, and alternatives to euthanasia have not been meaningfully explored. There has also been no clear public explanation of what evidence or assessments support the decision to pursue euthanasia over available alternatives
There are also serious concerns about the fairness of the legal process, including limits placed on the defense’s ability to fully present witnesses and evidence at the hearing.

We are asking Ventura County Animal Services to pause and allow for:
• An independent behavioral assessment
• Full consideration of sanctuary placement
• A fair opportunity to review the legal process

Bruce deserves a decision based on complete information and real evaluation—not one made without fully exploring the alternatives.
Bruce needs our voice, he has a stable nurturing environment to go to for the rest of his life, he has a right to live

“WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP:
If you think BRUCE should be allowed to go to a sanctuary and not be killed, please make your voice heard. Please contact--

Beautiful

This was filmed last Friday afternoon at Riverside Community Shelter in Spokane, Washington.

The woman sitting quietly on the bench is Frances, 77 years old.

Frances lost her husband of forty-three years last autumn. The winter that followed was long and silent. The house they had shared since 1987 suddenly felt too big, too still. Days blurred together. Nights felt even longer.

Her daughter Nina, who lives in Portland, drove up that weekend with one goal: get her mom out of the house, even just for a few hours.

An adoption event.

Frances had resisted for weeks.

"I'm too old," she kept saying. "Dogs need energy. They need someone faster than me, someone better."

But Nina brought her anyway.

The room was full of life. Families laughing, kids sitting cross-legged on the floor, volunteers calling out names. Dogs weaving through the crowd, tails wagging, chasing toys, chasing attention.

Frances sat along the wall. Quiet. Watching.

A few dogs wandered close, but quickly turned toward louder voices, quicker hands, more excitement.

Frances folded her hands and looked down.

Maybe she was right.

Maybe this wasn’t for her.

Then two Cane Corsos entered the room.

They weren’t loud. They weren’t jumping or pulling for attention. Just calm, steady, observant.

They moved through the crowd without rushing. Past the kids. Past the treats. Past the people trying to get noticed.

And then, they stopped.

Right in front of Frances.

Both of them sat down at her feet.

No hesitation. No distraction.

Just looking up at her like they had been searching for her all along.

Frances froze.

Then slowly, her hands came up to her face.

Her shoulders started to shake.

Tears.

One of the Cane Corsos gently leaned forward, placing its head softly against her knee. The other stayed close, pressed quietly at her side.

Neither moved.

They didn’t need to.

Nina stood across the room, watching. She later said she couldn’t take a step for what felt like forever.

"She thought no one would choose her," Nina said. "And those dogs didn’t just notice her, they chose her. Completely."

In a room full of noise and energy, they found the quiet one.

Frances didn’t leave that day alone.

Because sometimes, it’s not about who’s the fastest, or the loudest, or the youngest.

Sometimes, it’s about who sees you.

Really sees you.

And stays.
