This is Mamma Sugar…. Sugar Mamma. Sweetest girl, and all the other nicknames she’s had while being with us! She is the Mamma to the Candy Litter.
She will be 75-80 lbs when she’s at a healthy weight.
She is not available for adoption quite yet. When she is, we will post her again as available.
REMEMBER: Female dogs can mate with 2-4 different males. Which means some puppies may have different breeds/dna than other puppies. They are definitely MIXED breed puppies!

Clover is a 30-pound bundle of fun and energy, estimated to be between 1–2 years old and ready to start her next adventure! She was next in line to be euthanized at a high intake shelter and we just couldn’t let that happen!! This sweet mixed breed girl has a beautiful white coat and an even brighter personality to match. She absolutely loves people and thrives on human attention. If you’re looking for a companion to keep you moving a lot, and smiling, Clover is your girl. She does great with other dogs and would likely enjoy a playful canine friend. Clover does have a little bit of resource guarding with food and treats with other dogs, but it’s very manageable with structure and consistency. Like many young dogs, Clover will need some continued work on manners, house training, and basic commands, but she’s smart, eager, and ready to learn with the right guidance. She didn’t seem too interested in the cats in their kennels, and while she hasn’t been around small children with us yet, she’s shown herself to be a friendly, fun loving pup. Clover is ready to leave shelter life behind and find a home full of love, adventure, and maybe even a few couch cuddles after a long day of play. Could that be with you? If you’re looking for a dog who will hold a conversation with you, look no further! At 9 years young, Duke is the definition of "spunky." He is a spirited, sweet boy who absolutely lives for the game of fetch. Whether you have a tennis ball, a frisbee, or just a stick, he is ready to show you his expert retrieval skills and keep the fun going for hours. Duke has plenty of pep in his step and is looking for a home where he can be an active participant in daily life. He is a very talkative gentleman who definitely isn’t afraid to speak his mind. He’ll be the first to tell you when it’s dinner time, when he wants attention, or when he thinks it’s the perfect moment for a game of fetch. Give us a call or PM if you’d like to meet him.

PLEASE READ HIS BIO BEFORE CALLING FOR AN APPOINTMENT.

Meet Capone, a handsome young golden retriever around a year old who’s still learning that the world can be a safe place. Capone previously lived with another dog, cats, and children, but shelter life has been a big adjustment for him.
Here at the shelter, Capone can be pretty skittish, especially around men and unfamiliar people. Fast movements and loud noises make him very jumpy, and he’s looking for a home that can offer him extra patience, understanding, and reassurance while he builds confidence.
Capone is still very young and has so much potential, but he will do best with someone who understands the breed well and is committed to giving him structure, guidance, and time to settle in.
****Because he’s not currently in that typical carefree “golden retriever personality” stage, we do not recommend him for first-time dog owners or first-time retriever owners.

Meet Sarge, a sensitive 2 year old husky mix who’s still learning to feel safe in the world. He can be nervous and skittish at first and does still have some stranger danger, but once given a little time and patience, he starts to warm up and show his sweet personality. He has been doing really well with staff and continues to build confidence every day.
Sarge is a sweet boy who just needs understanding, slow introductions, and people willing to let him move at his own pace. Once he bonds with you, he bonds deeply and becomes a very loyal companion.
He has done well with other dogs and may truly thrive with a confident, dog savvy canine friend who can help him come out of his shell. He previously lived with cats and did fine with them. We do not know how he does with small children.
Sarge is kennel trained, which helps him feel secure, but when left alone too long outside of his crate, he can become destructive. In typical husky (mix) fashion, he needs both mental and physical exercise. If left unattended with nothing to do, he will absolutely find something to keep himself busy.
He does have a good amount of energy and would do best in a calm but active home that understands the breed and is committed to continuing to help him grow in confidence. Every small step forward with Sarge is a huge win, and he deserves a family willing to celebrate those moments with him.

Thank you to everyone who came out on Saturday to the Downtown Rock Springs Dog Around! It was super busy right away, we received lots of great donations, and Knox found his little human bff who came dressed as a dog and her family took him home for a trial adoption!
We are hoping to get down there more this summer and bring more adoptables!

We had 5 “seniors” in the shelter at once. All have found homes except sweet Duke.
This 9 year old guy is ready for his next chapter too! He does well with other dogs and loves being with humans. He could play fetch for hours if given the chance! He has not been introduced to cats or met any young kiddos while in our care. Give us a call if you’d like to give Duke his second chance 💙
