Today is National Feral Cat Day! 🐱

This little one may not be feral, but they came in for vaccines and deworming to get a healthy start in life! During those first kitten visits, we also discuss the importance of spaying and neutering.

Spaying and neutering is important for all cats, feral or not. It helps prevent unwanted litters, reduces certain health risks, and helps keep more cats from ending up in overcrowded shelters.

Every cat deserves a chance at a healthy life. You can help by spaying and neutering your pets and considering adoption from your local shelter!🐈

Here’s a closer look at a critical care setup we’re using for one of our patients who came in with a toxicity.

This setup allows us to provide warming or cooling airflow based on each pet’s needs, along with supplemental oxygen, IV fluids, and nebulization. Its portability also allows our team to closely monitor and care for your pet right where they are. 🩺

We’ve used this setup to support pets experiencing:
🔹Hypothermia
🔹Respiratory distress due to congestive heart failure
🔹Asthma in cats
🔹Collapsing trachea in dogs
🔹Post-operative recovery to help keep pets warm

Dr. Rigg performed a thorough dental examination, reviewed radiographs, and extracted any teeth that were causing pain or discomfort. 🐾

Dental care is an important part of your pet’s overall health, which is why a dental grade is given at every wellness examination.

🦷 Broken or loose teeth
