The freedom van is once again on the move! Right now, 11 cats and 12 dogs are cruising toward their journeys to safety and brighter futures. 🚗❤️🐶🐱

Transport runs are a lifeline for our shelter, they give animals a second chance at finding loving, forever homes where they can finally thrive. But these lifesaving miles take gas, coordination, and resources to pull off safely.

Will you help us fuel this freedom ride? Every little bit helps us keep the wheels turning for the animals who need us most!

💖 Donate today to support this transport and future freedom rides:

Not one inquiry. Not one application. Not one person asking to meet this sweet boy. 💔

Brandon is an approximately 6-year-old, 35-lb gentleman who found himself in a local shelter through no fault of his own when his previous owner could no longer care for him. After spending months waiting for his chance, a foster stepped up and gave this sweet boy a safe place to land. ❤️

Initially shy, Brandon is settling in beautifully and letting his personality shine! His foster says he gets along with both big and small dogs and does well with children, happily enjoying all the attention they have to give. He also loves seeking out head scratches from adults, and his tail never stops wagging! 🥰

Brandon is completely potty trained and is such a quiet, gentle guy. He enjoys gently playing with stuffed toys, getting a good brushing, lounging on the couch, and most of all, simply being near his people.

He may need a little time to trust, but once he does, you'll see what a sweet and affectionate boy he really is. And did we mention he is TINY in person?! 😍

📍 Approximately 6 years old
🐾 35 lbs
🏡 Completely potty trained
🐶 Does well with big and small dogs — slow introductions recommended
👧 Does well with children
❤️ Loves attention and head scratches
🩺 Heartworm negative
✂️ Neutered
🥰 Quiet, gentle & affectionate
🐕 Tail always wagging!

Brandon has waited long enough to be someone's somebody. He doesn't need a perfect family, just one willing to give him a little time, a lot of love, and a place to finally call home. ❤️

Let's change Brandon's story. Could you be the person he's been waiting for? 🐾

🐪 HUMP DAYS ARE FOR HOMER! 🐾💙

At least until we can find this boy his FOREVER HOME! 😭🏡

Seriously… HOW is Homer still waiting?! This boy is the FULL PACKAGE, and we refuse to let him keep getting overlooked.

✨ Handsome? ✅
🐶 Dog friendly? ✅
🐱 Cat friendly? ✅
👧 Kid friendly? ✅
🚗 Loves a good car ride? ✅
🦮 Great leash manners? ✅
🎓 Knows his basic commands? ✅
💙 Well-mannered? ✅
🌎 Ready to be your go-everywhere, do-anything buddy? BIG. FAT. CHECK. ✅

Homer is about 2 years old and 55 pounds of tall, dark, handsome goodness. This Heeler mix brings the brains, the adventure, and the personality, but he also knows how to slow down and enjoy the simple things.

He's smart, eager to please, quick to learn, and happiest when he's included in whatever his people are doing.

🥾 Hiking buddy? HOMER.
🚗 Road trip companion? HOMER.
🐾 Adventure partner? HOMER.
☀️ Lazy afternoon couch potato? ALSO HOMER.

He's looking for someone who will say, “Homer, wanna go?” and actually mean it. Someone who wants a companion, a sidekick, and a best friend all rolled into one ridiculously handsome package. ❤️

So where IS this boy's person?! Because somewhere out there is someone who needs exactly the kind of dog Homer already is.

Until they find each other, we'll keep showing him off. We'll keep sharing his face. And we'll keep hoping that the next person who sees his post is the one who finally says…

“THAT'S MY DOG.” 🥹💙

⚠️ WARNING: Some photos are graphic and difficult to view.
Our kittens need us right now; we need YOU. 🐾💔

We currently have three kittens who need eye removal surgery, which costs about $250 each, plus vaccines, aftercare, spay/neuter, and supplies.

And then there’s another little guy named Ravioli who has already been through so much. He came to us with a pr*****ed re**um that required surgical repair, but his struggle is far from over. He has had nonstop diarrhea, isn’t gaining weight, his little butt is soooo raw, and he was at the vet for nearly a month! He is currently with a foster, getting extra care and lots of TLC. He will need our prayers!

These are just four of the many kittens currently depending on LSPCA, and their medical bills and everyday care are adding up FAST.

❤️ If you can help with their medical care, donations of any amount are needed:
🐾 Credit/Debit/PayPal - https://lancasterspca.kindful.com/?campaign=1437816
🐾 Venmo - https://venmo.com/u/Lancaster-SPCA
🐾 Facebook Fundraiser - ⬇️⬇️

We are also desperately low on kitten supplies, especially:
🐱 Wet & dry kitten food
🐱 Cat litter
🐱 Paper towels

📦 Amazon Wishlist:
https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/182FCWYPAOPYD?ref_=wl_share

Every donation matters. Every bag of food matters. Every bag of litter matters.

We can keep saying YES to babies like these only because our community keeps saying yes to us. Please donate, send supplies, say a prayer or share this post. It all helps!

❤️ Isabella Update ❤️

Isabella was transferred to our ER last Friday after she was hit by a car and brought into the shelter. She survived the night at the ER and was then transferred to our vet for continued hospitalization and monitoring.

Once her stray hold was up with the shelter, Isabella underwent surgery to repair her broken femur with orthopedic specialist, Dr. Haase. She has spent the last few days at the vet recovering from her procedure, and we are hopeful she will continue healing and getting stronger. ❤️

Now, we need your help.

We are raising funds to cover Isabella’s emergency vet care, hospitalization, and orthopedic surgery. Her ER bill alone was $1,876 — and that does not include her week of hospitalization or the cost of her surgery.

We know we have asked for your help so many times, but these emergency cases add up quickly, and we cannot do this without our community behind us.

If you are able to donate toward Isabella’s care, even a few dollars makes a difference. ❤️

Thank you for helping us give Isabella the chance she deserves. 🐾❤️

Black dogs are often the most overlooked in shelters and rescues. They can get passed by time and time again simply because of the color of their coat. But behind every black dog is a unique personality, a story, and so much love waiting to be shared. ❤️

Meet Bertha, a belly-rub-loving sweetheart looking for her forever home! 💕

Bertha is the kind of girl who doesn’t need much to be happy. Give her a sunny spot to lounge in, a backyard to sniff around, a few toys, and ALL the belly rubs, and she’s content. 🥰

She walks well on a leash and absolutely loves her walks! She can get a little excited and pull when she first heads out, but she settles down quickly. She’s also a pretty low-energy girl, so she’s perfectly happy with shorter walks and plenty of relaxing afterward. ☀️

Bertha seems to do well with men and kids. She isn’t a huge fan of the crate and may bark for a while after going in, but she is easy to guide inside. She loves toys and will occasionally bring one over for a quick game of tug. 🧸

We’re still getting to know how she does with other animals, but Bertha previously lived with another dog, so we believe she may be able to share her home with a canine companion with the proper introduction.

And did we mention she LOVES belly rubs?! 🥹❤️

Bertha is ready for someone who will see past the color of her coat and appreciate the sweet, laid-back girl underneath it all. She deserves a family who will love her for exactly who she is. 🐾

Could you be Bertha’s forever person? 🐶💕

**Bertha is fully vetted to include spay, geriatric bloodwork, vaccines, dewormer, monthly preventatives and microchipped.**
