The healing power of dogs is incredible.
No matter what is going on in your life, the love of a sweet pup can help heal your heart.
My buddy Isiah is 10 years old and goes by Ziggy.
Ziggy has been through so much in his short life.
He has scoliosis and a rare genetic condition that causes obesity and low muscle tone.
Ziggy tries not to let it get him down, and when kids would make fun of him on the playground, he would just smile and tell them, “I still love you”.
Ziggy has had to endure more surgeries than his Mom can count, but she says things really went downhill for him when he contracted COVID-19 in the hospital in December.
He had a collapsed lung and doctors had to rush him in to surgery.
He had to be on a ventilator and have a tracheotomy.
Doctors have no idea when he’ll be released - and that can be really tough on a kid.
But when this sweet therapy pup jumped in to Ziggy’s hospital bed, he could forget all of that for a few minutes.
The dog cuddled right up to Ziggy.
The puppy didn’t mind that he was sick or looked different.
All the dog saw was love.
And from the look on Ziggy’s face, you can tell this sweet boy loves the pup right back ❤️
