Update: ADOPTED 🙌
Dumped as a young puppy, was lucky to survive. A local rescuer in Texas discovered two German Shepherd puppies left in front of her home and stepped in immediately, providing safety and care while searching for a long-term solution. Not long after arriving, Walker became seriously ill with parvo, requiring isolation and careful monitoring to protect both dogs. True to the meaning behind his name, he proved himself to be a fighter. Named after a close friend who survived end-stage liver failure and never gave up, Walker’s resilience carried him through, and he is now healthy, strong, and ready for a fresh start.
Estimated to be around three to four months old and weighing about twenty-two pounds, Walker has spent the last month living in a home environment where his gentle personality has really begun to shine. He is incredibly sweet, good with kids, and comfortable around cats, making him a wonderful fit for many types of homes. While his brother Rex has already secured a home, Walker urgently needs a committed foster or adopter so he is not left behind!
