💎ADOPTION ANNOUCEMENT💎

Some dogs find their forever home… and some become a Jewel in it. 🥹💙

Pickles has officially been adopted and is now Jewel, and we couldn’t be happier for this boy!

Jewel’s mom works from home, which means he gets exactly what he’s been waiting for - a human who is thrilled to have him around and plenty of time together. 🏡❤️

He also has two cat brothers that he is waiting to get to know! Everyone is taking things nice and slow, giving each other space and making sure everyone is comfortable as they figure out this whole new family dynamic. 🐱🐱🐶

We absolutely love seeing his new family take the time to set everyone up for success. There’s no rush - just patience, supervision, and lots of positive experiences.

From Pickles to Jewel, this boy has officially found his person. And we think he’s going to shine. ✨

Congratulations, Jewel! We’re so happy you’re home. 💙🐾

Day 2 of recovery for sweet Blu. ❤️‍🩹

Doc says Blu was the best little patient and his surgery went beautifully! 🥹💙 They suspect the mass is benign, but it’s been sent out for testing to cover all our bases. 🙏🏼

(ICYMI: On Tuesday, Blu had a large mass surgically removed from the bottom of his back right paw.)

The good news? It’s GONE!!! The bad news? It was in the worst possible spot! So, our #1 mission for the rest of the week: keep little dude dry, calm & comfy. 🛌🐾

He’s got a pretty sweet setup complete with..
✅ blanket fort
✅ TV show
✅ AC and fan
✅ bones
✅ snacks
✅ meds
✅ potty es**rt
✅ all the lovins 💓

Now we wait for those test results and let our boy rest, heal, and milk this whole “best little patient” thing for all it’s worth. 💙🐶

While Blu focuses on healing, we’re focused on the vet bill. ❤️‍🩹 Every surgery, test, medication and follow-up adds up quickly, but because of this community, Blu gets the care he needs when he needs it.

🎉 ADOPTION ANNOUNCEMENT: RONI (NOW MOOSE!)🎉

Some transformations are hard to put into words, and Moose’s is definitely one of them. ❤️

Just a couple of months ago, Roni was living life chained up so tightly that he had wounds around his neck. Today? He’s Moose, and he has a mom, a dad, two human siblings, and a family who is committed to showing him just how big and wonderful life can be.

Since going home, Moose has:
🏕️ Gone camping
🐾 Made lots of new dog friends
👋 Made plenty of new human friends
🛏️ Learned that beds are for cuddling
❤️ And, most importantly, found a family who sees him as part of theirs

This is why rescue matters.

To watch a dog go from simply surviving to experiencing a life filled with family, adventures, comfort, and love in just a few short months is pretty incredible.

Moose, your life is just getting started - and we can't wait to see where all those adventures take you! 🐾❤️

💙 Help Us Get Blu Ready for His Procedure

Our sweet Blu has a mass on his foot that needs to be removed, and we’re asking for a little help with his upcoming medical expenses.

Blu is scheduled to have the mass surgically removed this week, and it will be sent out for a biopsy so we can find out exactly what we’re dealing with. His care will include pre-op bloodwork, anesthesia, IV fluids, hospitalization, the surgical removal, medication, and biopsy. He’ll also need follow-up care, including checkups and bandage changes, so we’re estimating his total care will be around $1,500-$1,600.

As a rescue, unexpected medical expenses like this can be a challenge, especially when we’re caring for multiple dogs at once. However, we will do whatever we need to make sure Blu gets the care he needs, and we’re hoping our supporters can help us get a head start on his medical fund.

If you’re able to donate, any amount helps. If donating isn’t possible, sharing Blu’s fundraiser is another great way to help!

Today is all about celebrating the dogs who make our lives better simply by being in them.

We’re celebrating National Dog Day by shining a spotlight on some of our amazing adoptable pups -dogs who are ready and waiting for their people to find them. 🏡🐶

Some are playful. Some are couch potatoes. Some need a little extra patience or understanding. But every single one of them has something special to offer, and every single one deserves a home of their own.

UPDATE! Pickles had an incredible meet and greet yesterday with his potential new mom!! He has never been so comfortable with someone so quickly, and she is absolutely smitten over him (how can you not be?!). When we went to introduce Mr Pickles to one of the kitty friends, the kitty was sleeping and woken up abruptly by us by mistake. We didn’t have the best first impression for Mr Darl , however mom is committed to doing whatever it takes and we already have a plan to keep everyone safe, comfortable, and will take things slow!

🤩Stay tuned!!!! Tomorrow Pickles will be moving HOME if all goes as we hope for his second meet!!!!🙏

Ready for Football Season?!? 🏈🐾

Willow has her football ready… now she just needs a forever family to watch the games with! 🏈💙

This sweet girl is about 1 year old and, as you can probably tell, she has some serious puppy energy! 😂 She would do wonderfully in a home with another playful dog who can help her burn some of that energy and show her the ropes.

But Willow is also putting in the work! She’s currently being treadmill trained to help her learn how to channel all that youthful energy in a positive way. And as you can see in her photos… she’s ready to put in the miles! 😆

When she’s not busy being an athlete, Willow is a sweet, goofy girl who is ready to find the people she can call her own.

🏈 She has her football.
🏡 She has the love to give.
❤️ She just needs YOU to complete the team.

Willow is ready to be your MVP this football season - and every season after. 🐶🏈

One year of waiting. 💔🐾

As of last week, our sweet Iris has officially been with us for ONE YEAR.

Iris came to us extremely pregnant, and just two days later, she gave birth to five healthy - and very large! - puppies.🥹

Those five babies have all found their forever families, and over the weekend, they celebrated their first birthdays.🎂🐶

Meanwhile… Mama Iris is still waiting.

She’s been there through all of it, watching her babies grow up and move on to the lives they deserve, while she waits for someone to choose her.

Iris is a relatively independent girl, but don’t let that fool you - she LOVES being around her humans. She’s happy doing her own thing, but she absolutely appreciates being near her people and soaking up that one-on-one attention. ❤️

She does need to be the only pet in the home, but honestly? We think she’d be pretty easy to love all on her own. We promise you wouldn’t regret giving this girl a chance.

And now we have an extra little incentive… 👀

💙 THIS is why fostering matters. 💙

Blu Update - Furtirement Home Found. 🐾

Blu may spend the rest of his days as a PCRT pup, but thanks to a foster who opened their home - and then opened their heart - he gets something every dog deserves: a home to call his own.

🐶 He gets endless 1:1 time with his human.
🚗 Car rides and little adventures (that may include snacks).
🛏️ He gets to sleep in the bed.
❤️ He gets to be someone’s dog - not just a dog in rescue.

And maybe most importantly, Blu gets to know what it feels like to belong.

Not every foster story ends with an adoption. Sometimes it ends with something just as beautiful: a dog finding a place where they are safe, loved, spoiled, and home.

Fostering changes everything. It gives dogs like Blu the chance to experience the life they may have never known otherwise.

If you’ve ever thought about fostering, let Blu be your reminder that opening your home can change a dog’s entire world. 🐾💙

💙 SPEX IS STILL WAITING… 💙

How is this handsome boy STILL waiting for someone to say, “Yep, that’s our dog!”? 🥹

Spex has been patiently waiting for his forever family, and we just don’t understand how his person hasn’t found him yet.

This goofy guy is about 1.5 years old and is:
🐾 Dog friendly
👧 Kid friendly
🏡 Crate trained
🧡 Sweet, playful & full of personality

And just look at that face! That smile, those ears, and that “please throw the ball again” look. 😂🎾

Spex has so much love to give. He deserves more than waiting in rescue - he deserves a family, a couch, a yard, adventures, and someone who thinks his goofy little face is absolutely perfect.

His forever family is out there. We just need to help them find each other. 🏡💙
