Meet Schnausage & Beans - affectionately known as Schnoobeans 🖤🤎

These senior sidekicks are on the hunt for their perfect “furtirement” home where they can spend their golden years exactly how they deserve: cozy, spoiled, and loved.

Schnausage (approx. 8-9 years old, Schnorkie mix) and Beans (approx. 14-15 years old, Chihuahua) came into rescue last summer and have been living the glow-up life ever since. Between the two of them, they’ve checked off all the important boxes:
✔️ Neutered
✔️ Dental work completed
✔️ Up to date on vaccinations
✔️ Masters degrees in lounging

These boys are good with cats, but would really prefer to be the only dogs in the home so they can soak up all the attention for themselves.

Schnoo is the social butterfly of the pair and has gone through quite the weight loss journey - he adores people, happily climbs into laps, and will absolutely request to be picked up like the tiny king he is. Beans, meanwhile, is your classic spicy little chihuahua. He enjoys pets and butt scratches on his terms and strongly believes all four paws belong firmly on the floor at all times.

Now, full transparency from the gentlemen themselves: at their distinguished ages, potty training has never really been their thing… and they’re not especially interested in changing that now. While they do go outside most of the time, they may still try to mark indoors.

Sometimes the best things take time. ❤️

Last July, PCRT pulled Jesse from the shelter at the absolute 11th hour. He was heartworm positive, severely emaciated, and weighed only 37lbs. We didn’t know what the future held for him, but we knew he deserved a chance.

Over the past year, Jesse has fought hard. Earlier this year, he successfully completed his heartworm treatment, and since then, we’ve been waiting for the right family to see just how special he is.

And then this weekend happened. ✨

It felt serendipitous - the kind of match that reminds us why we do this. Jesse found parents who already adore him and understand that trust, comfort, and confidence take time. They know that with patience and love, they’re going to get the goofiest, happiest, most playful boy imaginable.

Jesse’s story is also a reminder that one post, one share, one like, or one comment truly can change a life. The right people were reached at exactly the right time, and because of that, Jesse finally got his happily ever after.

Found abandoned, emaciated, and neglected on a cold rainy night, Gadget’s story could have ended very differently. Thankfully, kind strangers kept him safe until PCRT could step in.

Beastie is an approx. 2-year-old bundle of energy and love and we can’t believe no one has scooped him up yet! This playful pup thrives as a solo dog and would do best in a home with older kids - he’s a bull in a china shop and isn’t sorry about it!

Beastie loves splashing in the water, chasing toys, and flashing that big, happy smile that melts hearts. With a personality as bold as his markings, he’s ready to bring joy, adventure, and endless cuddles to his forever family.

Meet Spex 🩵

Approx. 1 year old and fully committed to being everyone’s favorite pint-sized sidekick. Spex is the total package wrapped up in a tiny, speckled body - goofy, playful, affectionate, and always ready to romp around with his friends. Whether he’s zooming through the yard, making new dog friends, or sticking his tongue out for the camera, he keeps life entertaining.
