Appreciation Post:

The woman in this picture is Allison. She is the reason CA is here today. She took a side hustle and turned it into a family-centered kick-ass business where employees get to embrace their strengths & passions, clients (dogs & humans) are family, and community is everything. Built on honesty, transparency, and a whole lotta love, Allison has made Companion Acres the home away from home it is today.

This picture so perfectly captures Allison and her dedication to being a mom, a business owner, a trainer, and showing up for her community 🫶🏼 We are so incredibly lucky to have her & we just want to show her some extra love today because, well, why not 🤍

Hanging out at our new property with the one and only 🫶🏼 We haven’t given an update in a while about our new site, so we wanted to give you an update!

Friday we had our final training sesh with Alexander 🥹

We took him over to so he could put what he’s learned into action 🤘🏼 and he did phenomenal!! He practiced walking by people, yummy products, and some questionable people (aka mannequins 🤭) and he even got pets from people in the store and was incredibly polite 👏🏼👏🏼

We found Sidekick and go into why the tool is so important to Alexander’s success when he does finally find his forever home. With our training program, we offer a free follow up day and we would love for Alexander’s new family to give us the chance to show you what he is fully capable of 🥰

We’re sooooooo proud of this boy and what he’s accomplished and shown us this past week 🙌🏼

This is worth the 3 minute watch, promise!

Sometimes it’s hard to show progress in a short 3 minutes, but we hope that you can see it with your own eyes how Alexander takes what he has been learning this week and is able to enjoy something he may never have before: snuggling on a couch with people.

Alexander has been returned due to his mouthy-ness, but today with simple, yet effective communication, he found his calm & was rewarded with a peaceful snooze and pets 🙌🏼👏🏼🤍

Every pup deserves patience, time, and love. Alexander is showing us he knows how to be the calm, sweet pup that would make a pawfect friend for life 🐾 He is available for adoption through Paws & Claws Humane Society 🤍

Meet Alexander 🐶

Alexander is a shelter pup from and he is with us for the week for Board & Train! He has been sitting at the shelter for many months and in that time has been adopted and returned several times. Alexander can be mouthy & overall needs direction with his human interactions, which makes him the pawfect candidate for training 🐾

He’s a smart pup and is a fast learner! This was only Day One 🙌🏼 We can’t wait to see the progress that he makes through the week 🫶🏼
