We are happy to report that the quarantine for EHV-1 has been lifted! Thanks to the quick action of our barn family, no further horses were affected by the virus. The original horse is back to normal and doing great. We thank you all so much for your support and understanding!

Hello everyone. We are reaching out to inform the public that we at Clover Creek Farm have had a horse test positive for EHV-1. Our goal here is not to create panic, but to dispel rumors and be completely transparent to our friends and neighbors in the horse community.
The horse in question initially spiked a fever on March 11. There were no other clinical signs of illness. Initial testing was all negative. When the fever returned, all laboratory testing was repeated on March 16, and he was found to be positive for EHV-1. He was immediately isolated and strict biosecurity measures were undertaken. We have been in close contact with the barn veterinarian as well as the state veterinarian and have a quarantine plan in place. Of course, the health and safety of our animals is of utmost importance. Our primary goal is to prevent spread of the virus. As of today, there have been no other fevers or any signs of illness. The horse with the initial fever is doing well, and his temperature has returned to normal.
