Have you tried a snuffle mat with your dog?

A snuffle mat turns treats or kibble into a game by encouraging your dog to use their nose to find each piece. Scatter a few treats throughout the mat, tuck some into harder-to-find spots, and let your pup sniff them out at their own pace.

You might be surprised how much they enjoy the hunt.

Please join us in congratulating our Enrichment Specialist, Ana, in her grooming school graduation!!

We are all so incredibly proud of her for this achievement and all know that any grooming salon will be lucky to have her. She has worked so hard over the past few months, and it really does show.

Congratulations, Ana!💜💜💜

Noticing more fur around the house lately?

As the seasons change, some dogs may shed more as their coats adjust to cooler weather. Regular brushing can help remove loose fur, prevent tangles, and keep their skin and coat healthy.

If your pup’s coat could use a little extra attention, we can help.

It’s almost Howl-O-Ween! 🎃🐾

Planning to bring your pup along for trick-or-treating? Costumes, candy, doorbells, decorations, and lots of people can make Halloween a lot for a dog to take in.

Here are five tips to keep in mind:

🐾 Make sure their costume is comfortable and doesn’t restrict movement
🐾 Check that ID tags and contact information are up to date
🐾 Bring dog-friendly treats and keep Halloween candy out of reach
🐾 Be mindful of decorations, noises, and other things that may startle your pup

Introducing our new foster dog: Jones!!!

A ReJoyceful Animal Rescue found him as a stray after he had been roaming the streets for what seemed like a long time. They found his original owners, and they officially surrendered him. Since then, he’s had a lovely bath, has gotten some solid meals, and is now resting with us here at Central Bark. He’s wearing a cone for now since being out in the world on his own has had its mark on him; he’s got some wounds on his backside.

He’s a sweet, expressive boy who looooves scratches. If you stop petting him, he will stare at you and nudge your hand until you keep going. We think he’s around 7 years old, a dachshund-terrier mix, and he is 30 pounds.

Help us find a forever home for Jones💜💜💜
