Not all superheroes wear capes… but ours might!

This Vet Tech Week, we’re celebrating the incredible veterinary technicians who go above and beyond every single day to care for our patients. From comforting nervous pets and supporting their families to assisting with treatments and being there when our patients need us most, our techs bring skill, compassion, and a whole lot of heart to everything they do.

They may not have superpowers, but their dedication, teamwork, and love for animals come pretty close!

Help us celebrate our amazing vet tech team this week. They deserve all the appreciation (and maybe a superhero cape or two)!

We’re excited to introduce you to Mariah! She’s been part of the Broadview family for six years and is stepping into a new role as Office Manager at our Portsmouth location. Get to know a little more about Mariah and join us in wishing her the best in this exciting new chapter!

Meet Mariah, our Portsmouth Office Manager!

If you’re already part of the Broadview family, you may know Mariah! She’s been part of Broadview for the past six years, and we’re excited to share that she’ll be taking on a new role as Office Manager at our Portsmouth location!

What Mariah loves most about veterinary medicine is the special bond between people and their pets, and the opportunity to support that relationship. She appreciates Broadview’s approach to medicine and has a special place in her heart for patients who may be a little less comfortable at the vet. Helping them build trust, celebrating the small steps, and watching their confidence grow are some of the most rewarding parts of her work.

Outside of work, Mariah enjoys traveling, exploring different cultures through their food and traditions, and discovering new favorites as a self-proclaimed foodie. She also has a passion for working with behavioral dogs and supporting shelters and rescues, especially pets who are often overlooked. At home, she has two senior pitties, Cody and Eeyore, and a soft spot for fostering and providing hospice care to pets who need a little extra love.

As we prepare to open our Portsmouth location, Mariah is looking forward to reconnecting with familiar faces, getting to know more of the community, and continuing to provide the exceptional veterinary care and compassion that Broadview is known for.

That’s a wrap on another Junior Vets session!

We had such an amazing group of kids join us for our Dermatology (Skin) session, and we couldn’t have asked for a better group. They were engaged, curious, asked great questions, and were ready to learn from start to finish. It was so much fun watching their interest in veterinary medicine come to life!

A big thank you to all of the parents who brought their Junior Vets and supported their curiosity and love for animals. And of course, we couldn’t do these days without our amazing volunteers who gave their time and helped make the session possible. We appreciate you!

Thank you to everyone who spent part of their Saturday with us. We hope our Junior Vets left with some new knowledge, some great memories, and maybe an even bigger interest in veterinary medicine.

We’re already looking forward to the next one!

Meet the Portsmouth Team!

We're continuing our introductions with another familiar face who will be part of the team at Broadview Animal Hospital of Portsmouth. Meet Monica, our Portsmouth Surgery Lead!

Monica has been part of the Broadview family for 10 years this January and brings a wealth of experience to her new role in Portsmouth.

What Monica enjoys most about working with pets and their families is being able to make a meaningful difference when an animal is sick, injured, or in pain. Working in surgery allows her to play an important role in helping patients feel more comfortable, providing pain relief, and supporting them throughout their recovery. She finds it incredibly rewarding to care for animals during some of their most vulnerable moments and help them get back to feeling like themselves again. She also values the trust families place in our team and the opportunity to provide reassurance and comfort while their pets are in our care.

At home, Monica has quite the crew! Yeti, a 95-pound lovable ham, enjoys slow walks on the beach and relaxing on the sofa watching TV. Lou, a 35-pound ball of energy, is always ready for an adventure, whether it's a hike or a paddleboarding trip. Then there are the cats: Tuna, who is convinced he's a dog, comes when called and is always finding some kind of trouble, and Squid, the matriarch of the household, who loves everyone, but loves food even more!

A fun fact about Monica? She's halfway to completing the White Mountain 48, having set her sights on hiking all 48 of New Hampshire's 4,000-footers!

Monica is especially excited to become part of the Portsmouth community and bring the same compassionate, high-quality care to pets and families there that Broadview has provided for years.

We're so excited to have Monica leading our surgery team in Portsmouth and can't wait for you to meet her!

The countdown to Portsmouth is on! We’re excited to bring Broadview to a new community and can’t wait for you to follow along as we get closer to opening day. Meet Dr. Rabideau, our Portsmouth Medical Director!

Meet Dr. Rabideau!

As we get closer to opening our doors in Portsmouth, we're excited to start introducing you to some of the wonderful people who will be part of the new hospital!

First up is Dr. Rabideau, our Portsmouth Medical Director! And for those of her current clients who have been asking, yes, she'll still be seeing patients! We're excited that she'll be taking on a leadership role while continuing to care for the patients and families she loves.

Dr. Rabideau has been a veterinarian for 6.5 years and has been part of the Broadview family for the past 5 years. Before becoming a veterinarian, she also spent many years working as a veterinary technician.

One of the things she loves most about veterinary medicine is the bond between people and their pets. For her, caring for animals also means supporting the people who love them. She's especially fond of senior pets and helping both pets and their families navigate the changes that come with aging.

At home, Dr. Rabideau has quite the crew! Ziti, her 8-year-old Lab/Pit mix, loves walks, snacks, and taking out every single toy at once. She isn't a fan of car rides, new places, or when the cats start arguing. And speaking of those cats, Mango and Bean couldn't be more different! Mango is the serious one and is happiest curled up in a warm lap, while Bean stays busy chasing bugs, playing with toys, and occasionally using Ziti's head as a pillow.

A few fun facts about Dr. Rabideau? She lived in the Caribbean for three years, she has recently taken up golf and she loves gardening!

As for what she's most excited about with Portsmouth, it's simple: meeting new clients and patients, opening a brand-new hospital, and building a cohesive, fun team.

We can't wait for you to meet Dr. Rabideau and the rest of the Portsmouth team!
