My yellow mealworm eggs are hatching and producing tiny little guys.

Sorting day! I am afraid that there wasn't a magic hat involved. The colony has definitely thrived in the past couple of months.

My first mealworm pupae and adult beetles! The colony produced almost a pound of frass in the past two weeks.

They are just little guys right now, but they will eventually grow into beetles and parent my colonies to come.

I am currently a few months away from having enough livestock to sell, but I will be carrying Dubia roaches and yellow mealworms as feeders for reptiles, frogs, hedgehogs and other pets with an insect diet. I will also be carrying temperate springtails for bioactive terrariums. I will also have frass fertilizer available for gardening. Eventually my plan is to raise pet quality beetles and millipedes.

I will be selling locally only - assuring that your live purchases are alive up on your receipt of them and reducing costs that I use to create savings for my customers.

I support insect farming for sustainable protein sources for human consumption. I won't be selling for that purpose at this time, but seek to educate about the potential for using arthropods to reduce water consumption and greenhouse gases that are associated with traditional livestock.
