Meet Mordo!
Don't let the name fool you, while Baron Mordo might be Doctor Strange's brooding comic book arch-rival, this sweet boy possesses zero evil master plans. The only thing this Mordo is plotting to steal is your heart (and maybe a stray tennis ball).
At just 10 months old and a solid, handsome 56 pounds, Mordo is in the sweet spot of young adulthood: past the tiny-puppy stage, but full of youthful joy, curiosity, and bounce. He sports a sleek black Labrador coat accented with charming white dipped paws and a matching white chest patch that make him look permanently dressed for a black-tie event.
Despite finding himself at the shelter through an owner surrender, Mordo hasn't let a bump in the road dampen his spirits. He is taking shelter life with total grace, flashing a goofy, tongue-out smile for everyone who stops by his kennel. He is wonderfully good-natured, attentive, and eager to please.

This is Impala, a female German Shepherd, and Reeses a female mixed breed. They came from a nearby impound same day, and never knew each other prior. They both were pretty friendly and relaxed from the start with us. We didn’t have much history on either one. Day 2 after a brief introduction, you could kind of sense that they would play great together… so we put them in the yard together and it was off to the races, the rest you can see on video. They’re both currently available for adoption.
Also, it’s very important to note that the shelter is full and adoptions on dogs have slowed down considerably. We have a vast selection,  many aren’t on the website, but will be going up soon.

Meet Blue! Blue is a 3-year-old Pit Bull who came to us from one of our rescue partners. His story hasn't been an easy one-he was found after being hit by a train, which sadly resulted in the amputation of one of his back legs. But don't let that fool you... Blue doesn't let that slow him down! He is one of the sweetest, gentlest boys you could meet. Blue knows his basic commands, is very well mannered, and just loves being around people. He has such a loving personality and is ready to put his difficult past behind him and find a family who will show him just how good life can be. Blue is a pretty special boy, and we can't wait to see him find the loving home he deserves!💙

Meet Xena! Xena is an estimated 9-year-old German Shorthaired Pointer with a beautiful chocolate coat and an adorable gray face that shows just how gracefully she's aging! Meet Guy! Guy is a 3-year-old Pit Bull with the biggest, squishiest head and an even bigger heart! At nearly 80 pounds, this lovable guy is definitely a big boy, but he's very friendly and just loves being around people. Guy could use a little work on his leash manners, but he's eager to please and has so much love to give. He's the kind of dog who will happily be your big, goofy best friend. *Looking for a hospice home*

Elvis came to us after the family who found him as a stray could no longer care for him. He had a mass larger than a softball on his head, and horribly infected skin, and ears. Despite all of this, Elvis is a very sweet boy who likes to talk and go for walks. He is a picky eater but can easily be bribed with attention-he loves to give hugs. After Elvis arrived at PCHS, we began addressing his medical needs. His ears and skin were treated and then, we had the growing mass on his head addressed. Elvis was able to have surgery to debunk the mass but unfortunately, it was not possible to get clean margins given the location and size of the mass. Pathology came back showing that Elvis has Grade 3 Mast Cell cancer. Nothing more can be done for the tumor, so our sweet boy is looking for a hospice home. Thankfully, he is the happiest boy and is feeling great.. Our goal is to find a family who will help him live his best life for as long as he has left. If you think Elvis is meant to be a part of your family, please come meet him
