 This guy just went up on the website couldn’t keep him secret any longer because gotta get him out of here before one of us takes him. 😬 goes by the name of Kobe,  apparently was a breeder dog that ended up at an impound and we don’t know his history, but he’s estimated to be around three years old, American Bulldog.  Tons of fun.

New faces are arriving at our shelter almost every day lately, and each one comes with a story we may never fully know. Dogs like Zeke, Milo, Ryder, Pip, Chocolate, Reagan, Baxter, and the others all came to us from different impound situations & different walks of life. Some may have been lost…some abandoned…some simply forgotten…but now they’re safe. ❤️
Everybody here chips in and gets to work making sure they receive veterinary care, vaccinations, spay/neuter procedures, warm beds, good meals, and a fresh start… some come with names, some get new names to go with their new chapter. Every dog here is different in personality, breed, age, and background, but they all have one thing in common…they deserve love..patience, and a home where they can finally feel secure.

Meet Lilah! She came to PCHS from a southern rescue partner when she needed somewhere to go. She is hopeful that she will have better luck finding her forever home here in Minnesota!

Lilah is estimated to be about 2 yrs old and around 50 pounds. She is thought to be some sort of lab mix - but her breed makeup is unknown. Lilah has the most stunning blond coat, perky ears and gorgeous bright eyes! She enjoys playing with other dogs and would enjoy having a canine companion in her forever home.

Meet Oreo - a sweet young puppy who has been let down too many times in her short life.
Oreo came to us from a partner impound when she was seized from her owners. She is thought to be between 4-5 months old and a border collie/husky mix. Unlike most puppies her age, Oreo has known cruelty and has had to overcome it.
It takes her a little bit to trust people and warm up - but this is understandable. She is getting braver and braver everyday. Our wonderful trainer has been working with her since her arrival to help her adjust, desensitize, and learn that not all people are bad. Oreo would thrive with a family that has time to show her the good parts of the world and work on basic puppy training.
Oreo is truly a diamond in the rough and she is really starting to shine! If you think she could be a good match for you, apply online today!

Meet our sweet Junie!
Junie came to us from a partner impound when she needed somewhere to go. Originally found as a stray - Junie spent some time in an impound waiting for her owners to come and claim her. Unfortunately for her, no one ever came forward for her. This sweet girl then made her way to PCHS in hopes of finding a true forever home!

Junie is the "whole package" as she is just as smart as she is beautiful! She is estimated to be a German Shepherd type mix and is a young adult with her whole life ahead of her! We do not know if she has lived with kids or cats at this time, but it is believed with proper introductions that she could do well with a canine companion in her forever home.

Junie would be a great adventure buddy for someone looking to do more hiking, walking and exploring. If you think this perfect girl could be a good fit for you, apply online today!

First look at Stevie's kids, will post some individual pictures next, just wanted to give everybody a heads up. Stevie, who by the way has a loving, sweet-natured temperament, has been on the website for a few days already. She was surrendered with her 5 puppies. We were told they are Bernadoodle/Catahoula mixes. Mom is estimated to be about 2 yrs old. Puppies DOB is 1-11-26.

Needless to say staff and volunteers here often times fall in love with certain dogs and wish they could take them home, but the possibility just isn’t there, so they enjoy their time spent with their favorites, loving them up while they can, and there are feelings of joy once it finds its home. In the case of these 2 darlings, it’s been quick and easy to fall in love, they are just so absolutely irresistible and you can’t help but hold them tight and offer them comfort while you can, knowing their stay is gonna be short and sweet❤️

Huxley is a 2-year-old Corgi who spent his life as a breeder dog and is now getting a chance at a whole new beginning. He can be a little shy at first, but there's a sweet boy underneath just waiting to come out. Huxley would really benefit from having another dog in the home to help him build confidence, show him the ropes, and remind him that being a dog is actually pretty great. He's looking for a patient, understanding family who will give him the time and encouragement he needs to settle in. With a little love and guidance, Huxley is sure to grow into a happy, loyal companion.

Corgi Sue is a 4-year-old Corgi who spent her life as a breeder dog and is now ready for a fresh start. She's a very sweet girl who is learning what it means to be part of a family and enjoy the comforts of home life. Sue gets along well with other dogs and would likely enjoy having a canine companion to help show her the ropes. She's looking for a patient, understanding home that will give her the time and love she needs to come out of her shell. With a little guidance and a lot of kindness, Corgi Sue is sure to blossom into a wonderful, loyal companion.
