Attn: Anyone interested in getting licensed to rehabilitate raccoons, bats, or skunks in New York State!

The annual RVS licensing certification course will be held at the New York State Wildlife Rehabilitation Council conference in Ossining NY on Thursday November 12 from 10am - 5:30.

There is no test following the course, but attendance of the full day is required to gain your certificate of completion. This certificate is one of the necessary steps to obtaining your RVS license, and is good for at least five years, so you can get this piece out of the where wherever you may be in the steps towards getting licensed.

The course is free for anyone attending the conference. A $65 registration fee is charged for those attending only the RVS day. Currently, this is the only offering of the RVS course slated for this year, so you may want to get it under your belt while you can.

Sarah Bookbinder will be proctoring the class and lecturing, along with Kathleen Hannon, Amber Palmer, and representatives from the DEC, DOH and others.

We very much hope that you will join us. We desperately need more RVS rehabilitators in New York State!

Registration is open for the conference now. See the link in the comments below.

Meet the Roaster leading the charge! Nicholas is our head roaster here at Union Place Coffee. Trained directly by the owner (His very own mother) Laurie in the craft of roasting and coffee. Nicholas has been roasting for 5 years and developed a vast knowledge around coffee! We're grateful to have a roaster whose passion in his craft is clear in each sip. Next time you stop by pick Nick's brain on your coffee questions!
