PAARA IS THE MOVEMENT-JOIN IT! πͺπ»πΎ
Dogs left outside.
Dogs suffering.
Dogs dying.
And a continued lack of response and accountability from the agencies meant to protect them β RAS City Animal Control, Lollypop Farm, Humane Society of Greater Rochester, and the Rochester Police Department.
This is not new.
This is not rare.
And it is not acceptable.
Now is the time to SHOW UP.

CALL TO ACTION: It's important to realize that this is not about a lawsuit, a person, or an individual dog. This is a movement. A movement where collectively, as a society, we are saying enough. We will not accept this horrific cruelty enabled and encouraged by government apathy any longer.
On Saturday, February 7 into Sunday February 8th, 2026, dogs were left outside all over the city of Rochester, NY in sub zero temperatures with wind chills around negative 25 degrees. It was an arctic hell. Despite countless phone calls to emergency services, no one showed up. No one helped these dogs. Except for the brave advocates of Suzanne Marie grassroots group, PAARA Passion in Action Advocates for Rochesterβs Animals. They braved the elements to offer assistance to these dogs. They found this guy at Orange Street, frozen to the ground and unable to move.
Police finally arrived but said to wait for animal control. With this guy's life fading and freezing away, they walked into the yard and carried him to warmth and safety away from the horrors of that Orange Street house. The other four dogs weren't so lucky. They were bought into the Orange Street house where they likely now languish. This puppy's reward isn't a life of luxury either... he now resides, without any legal necessity to do so, at Lollypop Farm where he is somehow still in danger of going back to his abusers on Orange Street.
For their efforts, the advocates of PAARA were threatened to be shot by the degenerate abusers and threatened to be arrested by the police. The abusers? They face no charges and were treated with more far more respect and dignity by law enforcement than the rescuers.
Enough. This is where we as a society must say enough. We need help. Rather, the movement needs help. Here are some ways we thought of to do so. These are not the only ways... just some we have in mind.
1. Volunteer!!! Whether us or PAARA Passion in Action Advocates for Rochesterβs Animals, reach out to us. You will be welcomed, and you will be a part of this movement. Tell us how you are thinking of volunteering... fostering, processing apps, helping with investigations, adopting, assisting with social media, graphic design, videography, marketing, events, grant writing, data analysis, working with us and our dogs on site at the sanctuary, are just SOME of the ways you can assist.
2. Donate. You guys have been unbelievably generous. These lawsuits are extremely labor intensive and difficult. The more $$ we get, the more we can do, including ideally hiring legal staff at some point in time.
3. Put this pup as your profile pic... he is the symbol of our movement. I am calling him pup 371... 371 is the statute that mandates police arrest abusers. This pup is a stark reminder that abusers are essentially operating with amnesty in Rochester and beyond... that is what we are changing. Putting this as your pic helps spread awareness.
4. Make CALLS. Call anyone you want to call. Lollypop, police non emergency if there is a non-emergency, emergency if there is an emergency, the DA's office, state assemblymembers... call anyone you believe needs to hear about this dark and silent corner of the American experiment... make noise and cast light upon the cruelty towards these innocent victims.
5. Show UP!!! Our court date is March 11, 2026 at 9:30 a.m at Monroe County Courthouse, 99 Exchange Blvd in Rochester. There is a City Counsel meeting and prior protest scheduled for 5 pm on February 19th at 30 Church St, City Hall.
