Thank you Cyril Pittion-Rossillon Instructor and Coach for making the adventurous trip through the torrential rainstorm today to whip us into shape! Most of the work we do with him requires us to apply his adjustments with focus and consistent effort over a period of time but some of his changes are instant improvements! 🐎Adult Camp 2026🐎
What a great weekend with some amazing ladies! Thank you Verona Klimek with Harmony Horsemanship for showing what is possible to accomplish with our horses on the ground! Anika Hansen and I continued our lecture and delved into another portion of Horse Brain Human Brain...fascinating stuff! In our riding portion, we played around with some working equitation obstacles and focused on the element of relaxation, patience and the precision of our aids to build a confident mount that understands what we're asking of them. Great company, fabulous horses and time that went too fast!

One of our best schoolmasters just retired this last month to her new home. Kc has taught so many children and adults the joy of riding and spending time with horses. She was a fixture at Red Gate Riding as she has been with us from almost the beginning of our program. She was absolutely adored and we will miss her calm gentle demeanor and her funny little mustache! We are so blessed she gets to retire with a family that will love her well and care for her needs. "Kc Nay Nay", as her little girls call her, will be loved by two littles that will learn so much from her. For those of you who have learned from this sweet mare, post a comment or picture to share!

YOUTH CAMPS
June 15th - 18th RGR Student Horse camp:This camp is for RGR students who have ridden with us a minimum of 4 sessions and will be grouped according to age and skill level. July 20th - 23rd This camp will accommodate from students new(er) to riding. We will group according to age and skill level. Students work on developing correct use of aids and riding position. May 29th - 30th For adults in a relaxed and fun setting. Adult Summer Horse Camp 2025!😍
Our 2 day horse camp came and went so fast! Our focus for the two days was all about the neuroscience of horsemanship and rider biomechanics, in and out of the saddle. We had great weather to boot! Thank you Anika Hansen for your special presentation on Saturday and Miri Miller for always being a great hand. There is so much to cover we will continue our curriculum into our next adult camp!
