This is a lower cost option for Spay/Neuter of your Cats/Dogs. County of residence doesn’t matter!

• Drop off is 7-7:30am
• Pick up is 7:30 (unless they tell you otherwise!)

🔸 You can Request Your Appointment Online on the website at:: www.lowcostspayneuterindiana.org
Please select “Schedule Transport” and pick the location you wish to use. Completing an online submission form will start the appointment process.

🔸 You may also call us to schedule your cat or dog for our transport as well. The transport line number is 317-675-0072. Please listen carefully to the directions and leave a message with the info that is requested. An alternative number to call is 317-922-8185, for faster assistance!

🔸 We do not transport for vaccines only; however, vaccinations can be done at the same time as a spay, neuter or dental. Request additional services when we speak to you.

🔸Outdoor Feral Cats ~
‼️NEW POLICY ALERT ‼️
We know trapping feral/outdoor cats can be unpredictable, so there will be no cancellation or no-show fees for these appointments.

Our previous walk-in policy worked well for many years, but as our surgery schedule has become increasingly full, we are seeing more cats come in each day than we can safely accommodate.

Requiring appointments will simply help us plan ahead and make sure we have the space and time needed for each cat. We will always do our best to get cats scheduled quickly and would never expect a cat to remain in a trap for a week waiting for surgery.

🔸Please keep in mind that for some transports we are booking out several months. Also, some locations have been temporarily postponed and some check-in or return times have changed. We look forward to caring for your pets!

🔸 There is a $12 transport fee per animal. If 3 months or older, Rabies Vaccine is required by state law - if you have proof of one, certificate must be provided at drop off check-in. If your animal is in heat or pregnant, there will be an additional charge. Vaccines and prevention available for animals getting spayed/neutered, please inquire when we schedule you!

TRANSPORTER FOUND❤️❤️

‼️We are in need of a Volunteer Transporter to transport this lil guy to Lebanon Veterinary Clinic in Lebanon, IN on FRIDAY, OCTOBER 23! They are open 8-5 so he can arrive at any time tomorrow!‼️ (They are about 1 hour and 40 minutes from Rochester.)

He is being pulled by a Rescue, as he needs further vet care than what we can provide for him!!

These kitties are currently available at our offsite adoption pens at the PetSmart - Warsaw, IN!! Located in the Kohl’s shopping complex, next to TJMaxx!

💙❤️ PetSmart Charities National Adoption Week is October 19-25!! We are excited to be a partnering shelter, with some of our FCAC kitties having the opportunity of being available for adoption at our local PetSmart - Warsaw, IN!!

I’m an active, playful and friendly guy who loves being outside!

I was surrendered when my previous family could no longer care for me. Starting over is a big adjustment, but I’m a loyal and affectionate boy with plenty of love to give!

Here’s a little more about me:

🐾 Potty trained and crate trained
🐾 Friendly and affectionate with my family and visitors
🐾 Playful, vocal, independent and full of classic Husky personality
🐾 I love ropes, squeaky toys and balls
🐾 I previously lived with dogs but prefer female dogs closer to my size
🐾 I'm a natural hunter and looking for a home home without small animals including cats & small dogs!

Meet Marco! 🐾

1.5-year-old | Shepherd mix | 65 # | Waiting for a fresh start and a family of his own!

This handsome Shepherd mix came to us as a stray, extremely thin and dirty. Even then, he was bubbly, full of personality, and always happy to make a new human friend. ❤️

With his friendly nature, eagerness to please, and love of treats, we thought someone would give Marco the chance to learn the ropes and become the incredible family dog we know he has the potential to be. Unfortunately, that chance still hasn’t come, and he is now our second longest resident. The longer he stays, the harder shelter life becomes for him.

Marco recently spent time in a foster-to-adopt home, and we got a glimpse of what he’s capable of. He was picking up potty training quickly, slept at the foot of the bed every night, and even woke his people when he needed a potty break! Unfortunately, that home wasn’t the right fit, and Marco returned to the shelter.

Here’s what his future person should know:

🐶 We expect Marco to do well with another dog after proper introductions.

🐱 He wants to chase cats, so a home without them would be best. He also needs no access to chickens, rabbits, or other small animals.

🦮 He pulls a little when he first heads out, then settles down and walks beautifully by your side.

🎉 Marco considers himself a professional interior decorator. He’s a chewer who thinks anything within reach might look better shredded into confetti! He needs someone ready to supervise him, redirect him to appropriate things to chew, and work on crate training and house manners with patience and consistency.

🏃 He’s an active boy who needs plenty of exercise, things to keep his mind busy, and people who want to include him in their lives.

Our hope is still to see Marco become a beloved indoor family dog. His foster trial showed us how well he can do with that chance. But his stress is high, his quality of life at the shelter is declining, and we believe he may have lived outdoors before coming to us. We’re also open to an outdoor home that can provide secure containment, proper shelter from the weather, daily care and attention, and no access to small animals.

Marco needs someone willing to help this friendly, capable young guy become the dog he’s ready to be. Could that be you? ❤️

Marco did test postive for Lyme Disease. We did his treatment of Doxycycline and he has been given a Lyme Vaccine. He should recieve a Lyme Vaccine yearly and be kept current on tick/heartworm prevention year round.

About 1.5 years old | Mixed Breed | 54 lbs

I'm a friendly, happy go lucky guy who may have had a bit of a bumpy start, but the good news? I'm still basically a blank slate. ❤️

When my original owner was arrested, a family member stepped in and took me home. Unfortunately, I wasn't allowed where they were living, and at 54 lbs of young, bouncy puppy energy, I was also a little more dog than an elderly couple could comfortably manage. So now I'm here at the shelter, waiting for someone to give me my second chance!

The best thing about adopting a dog my age is that I'm still SO young. You're practically starting from scratch with me, which means I have all kinds of potential to become the kind of dog you help teach me to be!

💙 A LITTLE ABOUT ME:

🐾 Just under two years old and still very much a puppy 🐾 Appears to be dog friendly🐾 Expected to do well with respectful kiddos🐾 Doesn't seem to mind cats🐾 Keep a pretty clean kennel for the most part 🐾 Young, playful, and ready to learn

I seem to have a pretty good start when it comes to keeping my kennel clean, but I may need a little potty training refresher while I learn your schedule and routine.

Because of all the changes I've experienced in my young life, staff also suspects I may have a little bit of separation anxiety. That doesn't mean I'm destined to panic every time you leave the house. It just means my new family should be prepared to help me learn that being alone is safe and temporary.

Things that will likely help me succeed: 🦴 Crate training and creating positive associations with my crate 🧠 Plenty of mental enrichment and things to keep my brain busy🎾 Daily exercise and playtime to burn off that young dog energy ⏰ A consistent routine so I know what to expect 🐕 Possibly another confident, friendly dog in the home to show me the ropes and help me feel less alone

Most importantly, I'll need someone willing to give me a little time to settle in and teach me what life in a stable home is supposed to look like.

I'm young, I'm impressionable, handsome, and I have a LOT of life ahead of me. If you're ready for a young dog who may need some guidance but has all the potential in the world to become an incredible companion, I might just be your guy. ❤️

While my story before arriving here is a bit of a mystery, everyone says I’m a pretty sweet girl!

I have been friendly with everyone I’ve met so far and I’ve been keeping my kennel nice and clean, which my shelter friends think is a pretty good sign!

I made friends with a male dog here at the shelter, so I should do fine with another dog with proper introductions! I will say I seem to prefer male dogs though.

However, I am not a fan of kitties! Unfortunately, I think they look more like snacks than friends, so I'll need a home without them.

Little kids seem to make me a little nervous, but staff thinks it's just because I've never been around them before! I should do well with respectful kiddos with proper introductions as well. 🙂

I’m hoping someone will give me the chance to leave shelter life behind and show them who I really am. I have a feeling once I’m settled into a home, my personality is going to bloom! Could I be the missing piece your family has been looking for?
