A quick peek into Dozer’s training session! He’s a typical high-energy puppy with a big personality and an even bigger brain. He’s been working hard on his basics, improving his house manners, learning to greet guests calmly, and building strong leash skills.🤞🏼

One of my favorite parts of training is watching dogs teach each other in ways we never could. 💕
Their communication is quiet, honest, and incredibly powerful yet subtle body language, soft play bows, respectful pauses, and those little “I’ve got you” moments that build confidence from the inside out.

There is nothing better than seeing a dog who starts out unsure slowly relax, mirror calm behavior, and realize they’re safe… and capable. Dogs gain so much confidence by being around the right canine role models, and this is why thoughtful, structured dog-to-dog exposure is such an important part of training.

Training isn’t just about cues and commands it’s about emotional growth, trust, and helping dogs learn how to exist comfortably in the world. Watching that lightbulb moment happen with a new training friend will never get old. 🐾💖

Happiest of birthdays to one of our day ones! 🩷🤞🏼 Nellie joined Balanced k-9 when we first launched, she was one of our very first clients & we are so happy to have had the opportunity to work with her over the years🫶🏻 Each member of bk9 has fallen in love with Nellie (duh) & formed a very special, never ending bond. She is a special girl who had a rough start but is now treated like the queen she is!! I’ve never met a dog with so much love behind her eyes. Happy birthday sweet girl, we all LOVE YOU!
