Hello all here’s a short update on demo dog rue and on ILCCO in general.
First a short update on ILCCO -
We are officially a Minnesota company located in Rochester! It has been a very slow couple of months but the break was exatly what I needed. We are back up and running but we are taking it slow so we don’t get overwhelmed! November was a good month! We received our first program vest made by the one and only Designer Doodle ! ( as seen in the picture below ) we have been able to break it in and use it pretty much every day ! We would love to start doing virtual sessions again as soon as applicable!
Now for the rue update!
Demo dog rue is currently 2 years and almost 5 months old ! He is still gear sensitive but seems to get better every time we gear him up. He is also perfecting his mobility and guiding tasks ! His current favorite tasks are: finding a chair( he likes to find the ones with people already in it), finding the car, finding anything I ask him to, bracing so I can stand up and , migraine alerts because he likes to night my nose !
He has had a hard time in the past few moths dealing with excitement toward other dogs, but we are working on it !
Needless to say we are adjusting well in our new home and town / state and we are excited to what the future holds for rue and for ILCCO !
If you are looking to book an online or in person sessions pm me

Ok I just want to give y'all an update, sorry about the quietness I've been really busy with my health and with training my current service dog in training. First an update on Rue, he is now 8 months old as of the 28th of March and is doing really good in his training. We are currently in a adolescent phase so things are going a bit slower than we would like, he has started to go to therapy with me and will only go every once in awhile until either he is fully trained or until gazzer retires whichever one comes first! He is growing so fast, he is 24 in tall and around 45 to 50 lbs. We have also recently introduced walking beside a rollator and my white cane which will help with walking beside any mobility AIDS in the future, now let's move on. Because my health has been an issue rue is not where I want him to be in his training but that's okay every team is different and every dog is different! What might take a dog one year to be a fully trained service dog might take two or three years for another dog, we are doing our best to work at our own pace and focus on us as a team and not anybody else on the internet. The reality is that people post what they want others to see so here's your reminder to stop comparing yourself to other teams I know it's hard believe me I do I do it myself, but you and your dog and your team is the only thing that should matter! Hope y'all have a great day!!!

I recently made a post talking a little bit about this mystery. Respiratory illness that is going around, and I would like to talk more about it.
First off, we don’t know much about it but when we do know is it is transmitted by being around other(dogs beside your own) dogs. So far it’s only been reported in 6 states in the lower 50 United States the states include but are not limited to California, Colorado, Oregon, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Massachusetts, just because you were state was not listed does not mean that a dog hasn’t been affected by this mystery virus! Until we can learn more it is best that your dogs avoid high traffic areas or dogs, commonly mingle, such as pet stores, dog kennels/boarding facilities, and really anywhere pets are allowed the virus is similar to kennel cough in most cases it starts off as a cough that takes between four and eight week to resolve, in some cases, it has worsened and turned into pneumonia, which could be fatal, another thing is that the dogs are given antibiotics for the “ cough and pneumonia” and it doesn’t seem to be working. If your dog is a service dog/assistance dog, and it must accompany you try to avoid pet friendly places are places where it’s high traffic, make sure your furry friend is wearing boots and try to not let them sniff around. Give them a wipe down after every outing, leave your shoes at the door, and put your clothes away in a pin where the dogs aren’t near it. I suggest treating this virus like you would treat Covid. We don’t know much about it. Therefore it is dangerous. Please be safe and leave your pets at home!

Hello everyone, I know it’s been a while since we have posted but it has been very hectic around here! The update I have for you though is going to shock you, it’s about our new demo dog/ service dog in training Rougxè. Well first yes you did read that right he is now a service dog in training and no longer a service dog prospect!!! He has excelled in his training and we cannot be prouder, he learns so fast and is bonded to HeLanea Marie. So as of 11/26 he knows: sit, down, heel(to both sides), spin, twirl, paw, touch, kennel, “break” ( his release word ), come, stay, leave it, and he is learning to get in a position in between my legs, to create a buffer between me and the public by walking around me in a clockwise manner and, to give me his focus. Now I know that seems like a lot but it’s really not! He’s 4 1/2 months old and if it weren’t for the mystery respiratory virus going around he would be doing a lot more pet friendly, public access outings.
Here is some recent pictures of him!
