Today, a message was delivered during a business meeting by a leader within our company. That message was very simple: awareness. Awareness of the meaning the month of October has to so many brave and strong individuals fighting this battle. To those fighting, those who have fought and those courageous families who represent the angels who gave their all fighting, our hearts go out to you! To the incredible team down the road, Mayo Clinic, we salute you for all the work you put in to fight this battle alongside them!
Today marks the start of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
It's a month that means different things to different people. Hope. Progress. Strength. But also grief, anxiety and memories that can be hard to revisit.
