Just met Cristal from Feathered friends of Mobile; exotic rescue and sanctuary. They reached out to us and it was a pleasure talking to her. We're going to collaborate to help each other out and found out they're on the Rockstar Rescue Tour also same day as we are. Check them out and share.

We rely on donations to help run our parrot rescue so we're always in need of cages, bird food, veggies or fruit for them, nuts, gift cards for Sam's club to buy the nuts they need, Walmart, chewy or pet stores to purchase their food, gift cards for the local produce stands, baby or toddler toys I can use parts to make bird toys for them, rolls of paper or newspaper for the bottom of their cages. So if anyone has these items they're willing to donate it would be greatly appreciated and needed. We can give you a tax form for any donation to use on your taxes at the end of the year. Back in Feb 2025 someone attached their acct to mine on Instagram and even though I got a message from Facebook asking if I knew a guy named Martin Arlo from Kimberly Georgia and I replied no they suspended all my accts on Facebook and Instagram including my our 501c3 Styx River Parrot Rescue pages on both platforms. We were denied an appeal and access to those platforms for over a year. This caused our rescue damage because we started having people that donated money or birds call us wondering where their birds or money went, calls about why they can't find us on social media so our donations came to a crawl. So we have been funding our rescue out of our own pockets since then. I'm praying that now we're back on social media they'll start coming back in and we're doing events to raise money also. It took us filing a formal with the Alabama State attorney general before we got access back. So if any of our other rescue friends can give us suggestions we would greatly appreciate it. Hi from everyone here at Styx River Parrot Rescue. Just filling in some details on what we're all about. We run a 501c3 non profit parrot rescue here in Baldwin county Alabama. We run our rescue a little different we know how hard it can be to have to come to the decision to give up their babies they love so much but or rescue most of the birds we have gotten in are from awesome me families that can't care for them anymore due to illness, can't care for them any longer due to their age or the bird parents passing away and the family by want them. I no for the bird pattern bra that love them but can't care for them how hard it was to come be to that decision so we give them the option to either keep them here at the rescue for them to still come me an be visit even though they can't care for them or we can adopt them out if they want us to. So far everyone loves what we're doing and they still come and see their babies. So we are not only here to take care of the babies that come in but we're also here for the people that struggle with the decision to give them up. We stand by this and see the happy looks on their faces when they find out they still can come see them and watch them when they come visit is the best gift in the world besides these babies we get in. We love our life and our job. Now we're reaching out to people with help with PTSD and getting certain birds registered as an ESA animal. So please check us out. Thanks from Styx River Parrot Rescue

Everyone loved my post of Bama dancing to redneck woman but I want to give you his background. 2 years ago we were approached at the Gulf Coast Renaissance Fair by a very nice couple. They rescued him very a drunk guy that was beating him with sticks, brooms and other stuff. He was so stressed out that he pulled all his tail, wing and chest feathers. He was almost bald. We took him to Dr D***s veterinary and they told me he cut his feathers back so bad on his wings they couldn't guarantee he'd ever grow them back. Hannah had him for a year and he would only let them feed him and she couldn't reach him. Well we got him and he became my baby. His personality is so awesome and finally coming out. His feathers are filling in on his tail, chest and most of his wings. He's so funny and we had Hannah and her husband come and see at the last fall Renaissance Faire and she started crying. She couldn't believe how much he changed and he was letting her pet him and dance with him. I'm so thankful they trusted us with him. I love this bird and I'm so proud of him.
