👟🍕 Vet Tech Week: Day 4! 🐾❤️

Today’s team outing was all about happy feet and full bellies! 😂

We took a little extra time at lunch for personalized shoe fittings and NEW KICKS at Running Wild 👟 because taking care of our patients means being on our feet ALL day long!

Then we headed to Ravenite for pizza, wings, and some much-needed team time! 🍕🍗

We’re grateful for the opportunity to slow down, invest in our team, and have a little fun together! ❤️

Happy feet, full bellies, and an amazing team! 🐾🙌

Extra big thank you to Tiffany for coordinating and decorating all week!!

Shop local!
Support your small business owners!

An honest, raw, and vulnerable post from a small business owner...

We need a little help from our community right now. ❤️

Between the recent hurricane scare and still not having signage on our building, October has been an incredibly difficult month for Belle of Baldwin Boutique.

What many people may not realize is that Belle of Baldwin is more than just one small business. We're home to 13 other locally owned businesses, plus my own.

Behind each of those businesses are real people and real families. Families who depend on their sales to pay bills, put groceries on the table, and pay for their kids' activities.

And then there's me. As a new business owner, I haven't been able to pay myself yet. Every dollar my business makes goes right back into keeping these doors open. And lately, even that has been a struggle.

I'm not sharing this for sympathy. I'm sharing it because I believe in being transparent, and because we genuinely need our community's support.

I hear all the time how much Robertsdale needs a store like ours. How wonderful it is to have somewhere local to shop for formalwear, boutique clothing, gifts, and handmade items. And I am so thankful for every person who has encouraged us and cheered us on.

But the difficult truth is that kind words and encouragement alone can't keep the doors open. We need customers walking through them.

At the rate we're going, I have to be realistic about how sustainable this business can be.

That's a hard thing to say out loud, especially when I've poured so much time, money, energy, and heart into creating something I truly believe this community needs.

So I'm asking for your help.

Please share our posts. Comment on them. Tell your friends about us. Bring someone who has never visited.

And most importantly, come shop with us.

Come look for your Mardi Gras or prom dress. Pick up a birthday or Christmas gift. Treat yourself to a new piece of jewelry or a cute outfit. Support one of our amazing local vendors.

Or simply come through our doors and see what we've worked so hard to build.

I know times are tough for a lot of families, and I certainly don't expect anyone to spend money they don't have. But if you're already planning to make a purchase, I hope you'll consider shopping local first.

Small businesses don't survive simply because a community wants them to exist. They survive because a community chooses to support them.

I love Robertsdale. I believe in this town, these vendors, and what we're building at Belle of Baldwin.

I just need a little help making sure we're able to keep building it.

Thank you to everyone who has shopped, shared, encouraged, and supported us so far. It means more than you know. ❤️

❤️ Day 2 of Veterinary Tech & Staff Appreciation Week! ❤️

One week just doesn’t seem like enough time to celebrate the people who make Abel Veterinary Clinic what it is! 🐾

Today, we spoiled our crew with coffee from Sweet Home Coffee, breakfast provided by Merck, and Amazon gift cards! ☕️🥐🎁

Running a small veterinary clinic takes a special kind of team. Our crew wears so many different hats, steps up when things get busy, works through the hard days, and gives so much of themselves to the animals and families who walk through our doors. Veterinary medicine isn’t always easy, and so much of what our staff does happens behind the scenes, but it makes all the difference in the world.

I am beyond thankful for each person who shows up, works hard, cares deeply, and helps make Abel Veterinary Clinic the place it is. This clinic is more than just a business to me, and the people who help me run it are a huge part of that.

To our team: Thank you for your hard work, your big hearts, your patience, and everything you do day in and day out. You are appreciated more than you know, and I hope this week reminds you just how much you matter to us! ❤️

And a big thank-you to Sweet Home Coffee and Merck for helping us make today extra special and to Tiffany for making things way cuter than I ever could! 🐶🐱

We’re only on Day 2, and we’re just getting started! 🥰

💙🐾 Happy Veterinary Technician Week from Abel Veterinary Clinic! 🐾💙

This week, we’re celebrating our entire crew because in a small veterinary clinic like ours, everyone wears a LOT of hats! From caring for our patients and comforting worried pet parents to cleaning, organizing, answering phones, lending a hand wherever it’s needed, and doing all the little things that keep our clinic running — it truly takes a team.

Veterinary medicine isn’t always easy. There are long days, hard cases, emotional moments, messy jobs, and plenty of things that never make it onto the highlight reel. But there’s also a whole lot of love, laughter, teamwork, and heart behind what we do every single day. ❤️

We know how much our crew pours into this clinic, our patients, and our clients, and we wanted to take this week to pour a little love back into them!

✨ Today’s little surprise? Everyone’s vehicles got detailed inside and out! ✨ Because the people who spend their days taking care of everyone else deserve a little extra care themselves, too! 🚗🧼

To our Abel team: Thank you for showing up, pitching in, wearing all the hats, and loving our patients like they’re your own. This clinic wouldn’t be what it is without each of you, and we are so grateful to have you in our corner. You are appreciated more than you know!

Extra shoutout to our Licensed Veterinary Technician, Savannah. We have a couple extra things planned for our fearless Lead Tech! ❤️

Help us show our crew some love in the comments! 💙🐶🐱

(Also, if you plan to bring our staff a special treat- keep in mind we do have 1 gluten allergy.)

My amazing staff surprised me with beautiful flowers from The Florist at Hub City and a gift card for Boss’s Day! ❤️

Feeling so grateful and loved 🥰

Clinic power is restored. ⚡️

I’m still without power at my house though so without WiFi calling the clinic line is not going to work at my house.

Please utilize an emergency ER if I do not respond quickly.

Thank you for your patience and may God bless the linemen and keep them safe! ❤️
