We made it to 8 weeks 🥹 got their second shots, microchips, and health checks done Friday. (The yellow ones are Kemmer Cur pups in case anyone wonders 😂 not buckskins)

2 of the Maggie X Dusty pups, Nova and Jet who will be 2 years old in November on the first bear they treed solo this training season back in August 🐻 these 2 have really been turning it on this year as well as the other 2 from the litter with friends. Love seeing the young dogs getting it done solo and especially when they start consistently getting it done without the grown dogs.

Went to see some good friends for the weekend at Critter Mountain Kennels and run some pups. Jet, Nova and Sassy (Dusty X Maggie) along with 7 of their young dogs all under 2 year old showed us they could get it done without the old dogs for a 2 bear morning on Saturday 🐻 🔥 6 ended up at the tree while 4 of them walked with a big boy that showed some attitude. Had an amazing time overall with good company and good dogs

Some folks will never understand why we choose the woods, the hounds, and the long nights over the easy life. 🐕🌲

It’s not just about hunting. It’s about family, freedom, memories, and keeping a way of life alive for the next generation.

There are bigger problems in this world than a man spending time with his dogs and his family.

Don’t judge us by the bad apples. Judge us by the families, friendships, hard work, and memories this lifestyle creates.

Puppy pile on momma Maggie 😂 they are growing so much 🥹 next week will be going back to the vet for their 2nd round of shots and microchipping. These past few weeks have flown by.

(Don't mind the 2 oddball little yellow Kemmer Cur pups 😂, they have took right up with the plott pups ❤️)

The 9 lil chunks will be 4 weeks old on Friday 🥹 finally getting around to some individual pictures (what they would cooperate anyways 😂) love seeing their personalities start to come out and them play with each other.

18 days post Maggie's emergency c section and many sleepless nights, bottle feedings, worrying myself sick and several vet visits with Maggie later, all 9 puppies are healthy and thriving 🥹❤️ and Maggie has bounced back amazingly thank God 😩 🙏🏻 the puppies are very active and all over the place 😂 and I gladly welcome to handful that they will be soon when they are running around.

Yesterday was one of those days that reminds you that anything can happen at any time.

Maggie had went past her due date, had her temperature drop yesterday morning and after all the waiting it out and sleeping beside her, still no puppies or signs of labor fully starting, so I called the vet and they wanted to check on her. She was on day 66. Got her there and determined no stuck puppy though she was fully dilated and mild contractions. After some discussions, and with the weekend coming we decided to give her a shot to try and induce labor, and if no puppies within 2 hours, emergency c section. Turns out she was in labor, was having contractions but for some reason her muscle walls would not 'push' through the contractions. 2 hours later and still no puppy or pushing, into surgery she went. After it was all over, talk about a heavy blow when the vet tells me I am lucky to still have her and puppies and that the puppies made it. She ended up with 9, only 3 were still attached to their placentas and 2 were completely out of their water sacks. Today taught me that if you think something may be wrong, don't wait. These things are definitely little fighters already and very blessed and fortunate to have them all here 🙏🏻💖 and Maggie is slowly becoming more alert and is now spayed. Welcome to the world little babies 🐾

Took the opportunity to snag some pictures with some of the beautiful scenery here in these Western NC mountains while out enjoying the day with Mom and Maggie. 2 more weeks to go for Maggie girl with most likely her last litter. Her first and only other litter are a year and half old now and really happy with them. All were making races with the grown dogs this past season with what little I got to go myself which I couldn't have asked for much better, and it's a great feeling watching them all putting things together to trail and jump their own 🐻. Really excited for this cross 🐻 🐕
