Alright, fam… I have a little bit of a bittersweet announcement to make, and while it’s not the most fun decision, it’s one that needs to happen!
As many of you know, I haven’t been able to accept new boarding clients for over 4 YEARS! 🤯 My little business has been blessed with so many wonderful pups and families, and I am beyond grateful for the trust you continue to put in me to care for your beebs.
But with that comes A LOT of paperwork… and I mean A LOT. My filing cabinets are officially begging for mercy! LOL
So, moving forward, if your dog has not boarded with me in the past 2 YEARS, they will no longer be considered an established boarding client.
Now, before anyone panics, this isn't personal! I understand life happens, schedules change, and sometimes it's been a while since your pup needed a vacation of their own.
But this change will hopefully open up a few much-needed spots for some new families who have been waiting patiently to get their pups in with me. And let's be honest… it might finally give me a little breathing room in those filing cabinets, too!
What does this mean if your pup falls into this category?
🐾 If you need boarding in the future, you will need to go through my new client process again, provided I am accepting new clients at that time.
🐾 And honestly, a LOT can change in two years! Your dog's health, behavior, anxiety levels, routines, and comfort with boarding can all change. Going through those steps again helps ensure I have the most up-to-date information and that your pup is still comfortable and a good fit for the environment here at Among the Wild. Their safety and well-being will ALWAYS come first!
📋 NOW, LET'S TALK VACCINATION PAPERWORK!
For all my CURRENT boarding families, please take a peek at the example photo I'm posting with this announcement. This is the type of vaccination documentation I need to have on file.
I am required under PA state law to keep rabies vaccination information on hand for all current lodgers. I also need proof of bordetella and distemper vaccinations, along with your dog's Pennsylvania dog license number.
Please make sure your paperwork includes the rabies vaccination details and that you have proof of the required vaccinations available. If you're unsure whether the paperwork you have is sufficient, reach out and we can get it sorted out!
I know changes like this can sometimes be inconvenient, and I truly appreciate everyone's understanding as I work to keep things organized, safe, and running smoothly.
