It’s time!!
The pool will be open beginning Saturday, June 13 for overnight boarders and playcare attendees.
Opening day for our public swim sessions will be Sunday, June 21. Owners bringing multiple dogs from the same household for the public swim sessions on Sunday will pay $40 for the first dog and $20 for each additional dog.

Sunday Public Swim Sessions!
Opening day, Sunday, June 21st! We require a signed swimming liability form on file for each pup. We must receive proof of vaccinations prior to swim session. Reservations must be made and prepaid in advance.
Because owners are not allowed on the pool deck during swim time, we will provide a bench outside the area with a cooler of iced bottled water.
This will be our first season offering public swim sessions. Depending on demand, we may offer more time slots as the season goes on. As always, we appreciate your feedback, suggestions, and ideas.

You spoke and we listened! Once the pool is open for the season, we will be reserving Sunday swim hours for pups who are not currently enrolled in our services. Proof of Rabies, Parvo/Distemper, and Bordetella vaccines will be required.
Swim times and costs will be posted soon.

We apologize for the delay in opening the pool this year. We have discovered that there is a problem with the pump. The new parts have been ordered and should be here by the 5th of June. (I’m hoping sooner)
I will post our opening day as soon as I know what that will be.

A friendly reminder about why we “play naked” at City Dogs 🐾

For safety reasons, all dogs remove their collars during group play. While collars are wonderful for walks and identification, they can become extremely dangerous in a playgroup environment. Dogs naturally grab, paw, wrestle, and roll with each other, and collars can easily get caught on another dog’s jaw, foot, or collar — leading to panic, severe injury, or even strangulation within seconds.

This policy is deeply personal to me. Years ago, I lost my own dog in a tragic collar accident during play. She was accidentally strangled when her collar became caught, and it’s something I never want another family to experience.

Thank you for understanding why collar-free play is one of the many ways we work to keep your dogs as safe as possible while they have fun ❤️

I occasionally receive emails regarding pet health and I thought I’d start to share some of those that I think might be helpful. Having an overweight dog myself I found this one particularly insightful. I hope it helps someone else.
