The Potter & Clay Litter is 5 weeks old! 🤎

These babies moved into their bigger play area this week and have been busy exploring, playing, and wrestling with their siblings. Their little personalities are really starting to show.

Alabaster and sweet Kiln are our two remaining boys available. If you’ve been thinking about one of them, send me a message and ask about them! 🐾

𝑯𝒂𝒗𝒆 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒃𝒆𝒆𝒏 𝒊𝒏 𝒂 𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈?

Wanting something so badly that you get tunnel vision, until you realize you’ve been asking God to bless your plans without stopping to ask what His plans are?

“𝑰 𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝑶𝑹𝑫, 𝒎𝒚 𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒍 𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒏 𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝑰 𝒉𝒐𝒑𝒆.” -𝑷𝒔𝒂𝒍𝒎 𝟏𝟑𝟎:𝟓

That has been me lately.

The growth of Sweeter than Honey Doodles has been such a blessing. But I’ve felt the growing pains, too. Our program has outgrown our home and the space we have, and I’ve wanted so badly to find property where we could grow.

𝑰 searched. 𝑰 tried to make places work. 𝑰 pushed for doors to open, and one by one, they closed. 𝑰 was frustrated and couldn’t understand why. Eventually, 𝑰 stopped looking. You see a pattern here?

A few months went by. Then last Saturday, dear friends offered us an opportunity to a bigger property. The way it unfolded was so clear to us that 𝑮𝒐𝒅 was working.

Now I look back at those 𝒄𝒍𝒐𝒔𝒆𝒅 𝒅𝒐𝒐𝒓𝒔 differently. I couldn’t see it then, but 𝑯𝒆 had something sweeter for my family and this program than what I had been trying to make happen myself.

Waiting has taught me to bring 𝑯𝒊𝒎 the desires of my heart and trust 𝑯𝒊𝒎 with the answer. He asks for my obedience, my trust, and sometimes faith when I can’t see what’s ahead.

And with very grateful hearts, we’re excited to share that we’re moving to a bigger property. One with the space our growing program needs. This is a reminder, through experience. It’s always 𝑯𝒊𝒎 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒏𝒐𝒕 𝑰.

I can’t wait to show you what’s next. 🤍

Our 𝑷𝒐𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓 & 𝑪𝒍𝒂𝒚 babies are three weeks old today 🤍

They’re steady on their little feet now, finding their voices, and starting to realize they have siblings to play with. Watching them discover each other has been so sweet.

Soon we’ll transition them to their potty trays and begin potty training. Next week, we’ll introduce mush! It feels like they change a little more every day.

𝑼𝒑𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑳𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 🤍🐾

We have been so eager to share with you!

Behind every announcement is a lot of 𝒕𝒉𝒐𝒖𝒈𝒉𝒕, 𝒑𝒓𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒓, 𝒑𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒆𝒏𝒄𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒂𝒍 𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈. We never want to create a pairing simply because two dogs look beautiful together. Health, structure, and appearance are important, but 𝒕𝒆𝒎𝒑𝒆𝒓𝒂𝒎𝒆𝒏𝒕 will always remain at the forefront of every decision we make.

We carefully consider how each parent’s 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒕𝒉𝒔 will complement the other, with the goal of producing puppies who are 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒊𝒅𝒆𝒏𝒕, 𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒍𝒆, 𝒆𝒂𝒈𝒆𝒓 𝒕𝒐 𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒆, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒔𝒆𝒕𝒕𝒍𝒆 𝒑𝒆𝒂𝒄𝒆𝒇𝒖𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒘𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒏 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒊𝒓 𝒇𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒊𝒆𝒔. Puppies who can join you on an adventure but are just as happy curled up beside you at home.

𝑶𝒖𝒓 𝒘𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒍𝒊𝒔𝒕𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒔𝒆 𝒖𝒑𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒐𝒇𝒇𝒊𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒐𝒑𝒆𝒏! Our waitlists often fill before the puppies are even born, so if you have been waiting for the right time to join the 𝑺𝒘𝒆𝒆𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝑯𝒐𝒏𝒆𝒚 𝑫𝒐𝒐𝒅𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝒇𝒂𝒎𝒊𝒍𝒚, we encourage you to reach out early.

We are incredibly excited about what’s ahead. These upcoming litters are worth the wait, and we feel so blessed to watch each plan begin to unfold.

Our sweet 𝑷𝒐𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓 & 𝑪𝒍𝒂𝒚 litter is two weeks old today 🤎

Their little 𝒆𝒚𝒆𝒔 are beginning to open, they’re finding their 𝒇𝒆𝒆𝒕 and taking the sweetest wobbly steps, and their 𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒔 are opening as they begin to hear the world around them. So many changes are happening, and we love watching each of their little personalities 𝒔𝒍𝒐𝒘𝒍𝒚 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒆 𝒕𝒐 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆.

Two weeks of loving, growing, and being shaped in the Potter’s hands.

Our sweet boys, 𝑲𝒊𝒍𝒏 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑨𝒍𝒂𝒃𝒂𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒓, are still looking for their forever families. 🐾

Breeding can bring so much joy, but it can also bring moments of deep worry and fear. We are caring for creatures we love so deeply, and when something feels uncertain or frightening, the weight of that responsibility can become overwhelming.

Recently, I walked through a situation in breeding that scared me and caused me to worry more than I would like to admit. Again and again, I have had to remind myself that God has not given me a spirit of fear. I have repeatedly gone to Him in prayer, surrendering the situation..sometimes more than once, and choosing to trust Him with what I cannot control.

This program has always belonged to Him. These dogs and puppies are His creation before they are ever placed into my hands. I believe He called me to this work, and I trust that He will continue to guide me through every joyful moment and every difficult one.

Faith does not mean fear never finds us. It means that when fear comes, we know exactly where to take it. So I will continue seeking the Lord, placing every worry into His hands, and trusting that He has me, these precious lives, and this program..because He always has. 🤍

𝑫𝒊𝒅 𝒇𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒆 𝒆𝒗𝒆𝒓 𝒈𝒐 𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒐𝒇 𝒔𝒕𝒚𝒍𝒆?

Dovie, my sweet Winslet baby, is maturing so beautifully and is the epitome of her momma. Winslet passed down so many of her very best qualities to this girl. Her attentiveness, eagerness to please, and happy, ready for anything personality.

Snuggles? You got it.
An adventure? She’s ready.

Dovie has officially passed all of her OFA health testing, and we are so proud of her! Lord willing, she will become a momma for us this upcoming year, carrying on a piece of Winslet and the qualities we love so dearly. 🤍

Meet our newest & sweetest, 𝑩𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒓 𝒃𝒐𝒚🤍

His name was inspired by Exodus 17:15:
“𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒊𝒔 𝒎𝒚 𝑩𝒂𝒏𝒏𝒆𝒓.”

A banner is raised high for everyone to see. It represents who you belong to and what you stand for. That is exactly what I pray my life and this program will always do. To be a testament that 𝑰 𝒃𝒆𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒐 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝑰 𝒑𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕 𝒐𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒔 𝒃𝒂𝒄𝒌 𝒕𝒐 𝑯𝒊𝒎.

Sweeter Than Honey Doodles is more than a program to me. It is my calling, my ministry, and something I want to steward faithfully for His glory. In every puppy we raise, every family we serve, and every decision we make, 𝒎𝒂𝒚 𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉 𝒃𝒆 𝒅𝒊𝒔𝒑𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒐𝒍𝒅𝒍𝒚 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒎𝒂𝒚 𝑯𝒊𝒔 𝒏𝒂𝒎𝒆 𝒃𝒆 𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒉𝒊𝒈𝒉.

Now let me tell you about this boy. He has a 𝒄𝒂𝒍𝒎𝒏𝒆𝒔𝒔 beyond being a puppy. He is 𝒈𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒍𝒆, 𝒐𝒃𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒗𝒂𝒏𝒕, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒖𝒏𝒉𝒖𝒓𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒅. He takes everything in before reacting. He is 𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒕 with the simple things, 𝒄𝒐𝒎𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒕𝒂𝒃𝒍𝒆 in his own presence, and moves through life without needing to 𝒓𝒖𝒔𝒉 𝒐𝒓 𝒅𝒆𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒅𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏. There is just such a peace about him, that I’d never be able to fully describe and that can only be seen by meeting him.

Banner is a multigenerational, straight coat, chocolate merle goldendoodle. Charting to be 35lbs full grown.

He has the 𝒔𝒕𝒖𝒓𝒅𝒚, 𝒔𝒕𝒐𝒄𝒌𝒚 𝒃𝒖𝒊𝒍𝒅 we absolutely adore, with a beautiful blocky head, square muzzle, substantial bone structure, and the sweetest doe eyes. We’re praying over Banner and that he will be the perfect daddy for us in the future.

𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒏𝒌 𝒚𝒐𝒖, 𝑱𝒆𝒔𝒖𝒔 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒃𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒔𝒐 𝒇𝒂𝒊𝒕𝒉𝒇𝒖𝒍 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒚𝒐𝒖𝒓 𝒎𝒂𝒏𝒚 𝒃𝒍𝒆𝒔𝒔𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔 𝒕𝒐 𝒎𝒚 𝒑𝒓𝒐𝒈𝒓𝒂𝒎 𝒊𝒏 𝒂 𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒔𝒐𝒏 𝒐𝒇 𝒈𝒓𝒐𝒘𝒕𝒉.

The Potter & Clay litter is officially ONE week old today! 🤎

Each of these sweet babies is thriving and gaining weight every single day. Their days are currently filled with nursing, sleeping, snuggling with Winslet, and completing their daily ENS and ESI exercises. Which they are all handling so well!

Over the next couple of weeks, we have so many exciting milestones ahead. Their eyes and ears will begin to open, they will start discovering their voices, and those tiny crawling movements will slowly turn into wobbly first steps. Before long, they will begin interacting with one another and becoming more aware of the world around them.

It is such a gift to watch them grow and change right before my eyes. The Potter is already shaping each one, and I cannot wait to see who they become.

Our three beautiful boys are currently available and waiting for their families to find them! If you feel like one of these sweet boys may be meant for your family, we would love to hear from you. 🤍

𝑫𝒊𝒅 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒌𝒏𝒐𝒘?

Puppies are born with soft pink noses and paw pads because their pigmentation has not fully developed yet. During the first days and weeks of life, pigment producing cells begin creating melanin. The natural pigment responsible for the color of their skin, nose, paw pads, coat, and eyes.

As that pigment gradually fills in, their noses and pads may look spotted or patchy before becoming more solid in color. The shade they develop is determined by their genetics and underlying base color. That’s why you can see sweet Kiln’s tiny paw pads and nose beginning to change from pink to black. 🖤

It’s one of the many subtle transformations happening during these early days. Proof that even while puppies seem to spend all their time nursing and sleeping, their little bodies are growing and changing every single day!
