🐾 Happy Veterinary Technician Week, James! 🐾

Today we are celebrating James and all the hard work, dedication, and heart he brings to Countryside Veterinary Services!

From helping with our equine patients to caring for our small animal friends, James is an important part of our team. Veterinary medicine takes patience, skill, compassion, and a willingness to jump in wherever help is needed—and James brings that to our practice.

We’re thankful for everything you do for our patients, our clients, and our team. Thank you for showing up, working hard, making us smile- even when it is hard to, and making a difference every day! ❤️

Help us show James some love in the comments! 👏🐶🐴

🐾💚 Happy Veterinary Technician Week, Codi! 💚🐾

Codi brings so much care, compassion, and organization to Countryside Veterinary Services. Her genuine love for animals shines through in the care she gives every patient, whether they have four legs, feathers, or hooves! 🐶🐱🐴🐔

We are so thankful to have someone on our team who cares so deeply for our patients and helps keep everything running smoothly. Veterinary medicine takes a special kind of heart, and Codi brings that heart to work every day. 💕

Thank you, Codi, for all you do for our patients, their people, and our team! We appreciate you more than you know!

Help us celebrate Codi this Veterinary Technician Week!

🦴 A word of caution about bones as treats! 🦴

Bones are often given to pets in hopes of keeping their teeth clean, but unfortunately, they can sometimes do more harm than good!

This patient was given bones for dental health, but instead, suffered a fractured tooth. The fracture allowed bacteria to enter the pulp cavity, leading to an infection and a tooth-root abscess. As you can see near the gumline, the abscess created a draining tract.

⚠️ A broken tooth can be painful and lead to significant infection, even when your pet continues to eat and act normally.

Looking for safer, evidence-based options to support your pet’s dental health? 🐾 Visit the Veterinary Oral Health Council (VOHC) for a list of accepted dental foods, treats, and products:
