Wednesday October 7, 2026 my sweet little girl left the pain of osteosarcoma behind and joined her brothers in spirit.

We drove her to the crematorium ourselves. I sat with her, holding her paw before the painful drive home knowing that for the first time - my home would be empty.
✨
This is the first time that I have not been blessed with a dog by my side since 1998. The first time the only breakfast to be made was mine. The only dinner - mine. The first time I didn’t have a companion to share my meals. The first time feeding Angel alone. Sleeping alone. The first time being physically alone in my home.
✨
The truth is, we are never alone. They are always with us. They don’t leave us. They cross over as family, as ancestors and they are with us in spirit always. They don’t leave us. I talk to her throughout the day and into the night. I talk to all of them. It does help, but as you know, there’s nothing like seeing their smile, hearing them breathe, running your fingers through their fur and hearing the soft sounds of their paws walk through the house.

She’s with Han and Lu and my Mom; they are with me, watching over me and Angel. They are doing what Guardian Angels do, they are sending so much love and hope, enough to fill the whole universe.
✨
She is the absolute best, most beautiful soul, the most perfect baby girl ever. She’s better than I could have ever imagined. She’s truly a dream come true. My heart aches for her, my tears flow. 💔😢

Rey has always loved the holidays, the shopping and gifts, especially the lights and decorations on the Christmas tree! Since she won’t be here, we decided to go ahead and decorate for Christmas early. Really early. lol

I know! Spooky season has just begun, but we voted and she gets to win every vote. Christmas decorations it is! lol - I mean, who’s gonna tell her no? 🤷🏻‍♀️

We don’t have much time left. Days. So, Rey gets what Rey wants. ♥️ Do me a favor, give your pup a hug for me.

It’s the little moments.
Miss Rey has required a bit more tramadol to manage her pain levels and with that comes a bit more constipation. I’m increasing the doses of Nux Vomica and Carbo Veg homeopathics which help, but she also has to move a bit more.

Her right front leg is the main source of cancer and has become slightly more swollen so of course long walks are not possible. She rests as much as she wants where ever she wants, but we also take several short walks around my property. It’s the little moments like her daily opossum watch that make both of us smile. I just love that she still wants to patrol the property and chat with the opossums. (I’ve also increased her Arnica homeopathic to help with the pain and swelling.)

We also thought it would be fun to see if Angel would like to eat pasta off of a fork. That was a solid yes. 😂

Take the photos and videos. Do the paw and nose prints. Sit and watch the sunrises and sunsets. Cuddle. Every day is precious. Do all the things now while you still can. ♥️

Every moment is a blessing.
✨
While my heart breaks, I am also so incredibly grateful for every minute I get to hug her, snuggle her, follow her around and love her. Every moment I get to talk to her, kiss her, run my fingers through her fur and sit with her while the world passes us by. I can’t imagine a single moment of my life without her, just as it still seems so unreal to wake up without Han by our side.
✨
Miss Rey is holding her own, though she is slowing a bit more and requiring a little extra pain management with Tramadol, red light therapy, homeopathy, Reiki and Lifewave. If I’m slow to text back, reply to an email or message, it’s because my arms are wrapped around her and I’m holding her close, listening to her breathe. 💔

Miss Rey and I are full of gratitude. Thank you for checking in on us. Thank you for your texts and emails, for making sure we are doing ok and have everything we need. Thank you. 🙏🏼

In the last week since Rey’s osteosarcoma diagnosis we’ve made a few adjustments for her. I created steps using the Klimb, 4Legs4Pets and so my Queen can lay where she likes while also opting to just move my mattress to the floor. Easy.
✨
We took a ride to for burgers and fry’s (her and Han Solo’s fav!), she’s continued her patrol and still helps me feed her sister, Angel. We spend a lot more time sitting on the front porch each morning watching the sunrise and then again in the evening watching the sunset. Every moment is so precious.
✨
Her pain is being managed well with tramadol, homeopathy, red light and reiki. She was also offered Rimadyl and Gabapentin, but she doesn’t do well on either of those. She’s holding her own for now and still smiling. We communicate all day, so I’m always aware of her pain levels and needs. My heart hurts, I just want to watch her every second of the day. 💔

My sunshine, my Rey.
She came into my life at the most perfect time, the time I needed her most. I truly could not have asked for a more perfect soul in every way. She is everything I never knew I needed and so much more.
✨
I could write an entire book about how special she is, and yet, I also find myself speechless at the same time. What words could accurately convey the soulmate that she is? How do I find words that express what it feels like to look in her eyes and see a daughter dressed as a Rottweiler?
✨
Four weeks.
In four weeks it will mark the two year passing of Han Solo, which my heart still has not healed from.
In four weeks, I will hold my sunshine in my arms as she crosses over into a much higher frequency where osteosarcoma can no longer touch her.
✨
I am broken, my heart is shattered and I have no idea how I’m going to get through this. At the same time, I am full of gratitude and so very blessed that I have four weeks to love on her. Rey believes she will be able to stay until Oct 5th and would like to cross over on the same day her brother did. I am heartbroken.
✨

Here’s what three decades of studying canine nutrition, health and wellness along with four decades of learning from our canine companions have taught me:
🗝️ We always start with nutrition and gut health. If diet is wrong, you simply cannot access healing on deeper levels.
🗝️ The gut drives behavior. If the gut is suffering, the mind and body are suffering.
🗝️ Detox. When the mind and body are full of toxins, deeper levels of healing cannot be accessed.
🗝️ Movement and connection through obedience, tricks and play get the lymph flowing and open doors to higher levels of healing.

I’m incredibly grateful, both Rey and Angel have no fears or phobias surrounding fireworks and loud booms, neither did Han Solo and Lucius. Growing up at, and training to be Service Dogs at Disneyland may have contributed, however — breeding, genetics, raising, training, temperament and disposition all play a role as well.

Though the booms were non-stop for about two hours, the show in my neighborhood was pretty dismal this year. Usually, my surrounding neighbors put on a spectacular show. This year, not so much. 🤦🏻‍♀️🤷🏻‍♀️
✨
Here’s the important part…
🗝️ If your companion, regardless of species, has fears and phobias, they may only be suffering because you didn’t know there is a solution.
🗝️ Fears and phobias to fireworks and many other situations can be resolved — completely.
🗝️ Your companions can live a normal, healthy, confident life without fear.
🗝️ You’ve got 11 months until July 4, 2027 — the real question is — are YOU ready to help them resolve fears?
