12 Dogs Need to be Removed from Current Situation Immediately!
1) MOST URGENT -
MOM (Dutch Shepherd) and 10 puppies need a dedicated foster, preferably in the Inland Empire or Riverside County NOW. We provide what you need.
2) A FOSTER for Dad (Belgian Malinois). Will be surrounded to the shelter if we cannot find immediate placement.
3) Once pups are weaned, they will need to be fostered separate from mom individually or groups of 2 / 3 until adopted.
Otherwise if we cannot create a soft landing for mom, dad and pups, they are going to the shelter where they will be exposed to too many contagious diseases. Pups with zero immune system should be safe and warm, learning, socializing and being loved.
We all know how the story goes….pups get adopted at first then the last few, mom and dad are facing euthanasia because a family of 12 will almost never make it out of a shelter alive. They just aren’t given the necessary time. 😭
Mom and dad will need good nutrition, all vaccines, deworming, flea/tick prevention, microchips and each to be spayed/neutered. They will need collars, leashes, training collars and Training at $25-$50/wk each. Plus maintenance care items.
The litter of pups is everything x10. They’ll need 30-50 vaccines IF they get adopted at 12 wks or younger. They will need 10 microchips, 40 dewormings, toys and MORE. Keep this in mind, as this family will need a lot in donations.
has raised MANY litters, SAVED MANY moms with babies AND mom/dad/pups families. We are GOOD at it because we understand this breed, know what pups need in this critical stage and know how to screen and educate adopters, requiring needs like training in our contracts.
Ideally mom and dad can be fostered together after pups are weaned and mom/dad are spayed/neutered or at least adopted together. They are bonded and live together. However, the reality is finding fosters/adopters and enough in donations to sustain everyone is extremely hard anymore. Our priority is to SAVE this family NOW and give them a chance at living their absolute best life.
