SpayMart SpayMart's mission is to end animal homelessness through proactive, targeted spay/neuter initiatives and robust adoption programs.

SpayMart is a registered 501(c)3 public charity that runs a lifesaving animal welfare organization. Since 1998, they have worked diligently to enhance the lives of animals in the Greater New Orleans area and southeast Louisiana through programs directed at education, adoption, foster, rescue, and affordable spay/neuter. SpayMart’s goals are to:

REDUCE pet overpopulation in the community
PREVENT cruelty to all animals
PROMOTE respect and compassion for all animals
PROVIDE shelter and care for homeless and unwanted animals
FIND loving, forever homes for the animals in our care.

It's still Black Cat Awareness Month, and Ebony is still looking for a home! Can you give her a share?

This beautiful 2-year-old girl approaches life with curiosity, confidence, and joy. She’s playful, affectionate, and always interested in what’s going on around her. She gets along well with other cats.

Ebony loves attention, loves exploring, and loves being part of the action. Whether she’s climbing, investigating, or asking for affection, she brings energy and life wherever she goes.

Iris is striking a Black Cat Awareness Month pose, and isn't it pretty?

Iris is a sweet 4-year-old girl who absolutely adores people and gets along with some cats but would prefer not to share her person's attention, if she had her way. Her experience with dogs and children is unknown.

Iris is a hero cat who gave blood to another cat in need. The whole vet office said she was PERFECT!

She loves to lounge around or play in equal measure.

We're still celebrating Black Cat Awareness Month, and so is Matilda!

Matilda is 6 months old and has a silky-smooth black coat and gorgeous green eyes. She is the very picture of a tiny regal house panther.

Matilda was rescued and brought to one of SpayMart's low-cost spay/neuter pop-up clinics with a bit of a head tilt. After her surgery and vaccinations, SpayMart set out to discover the cause.

It turned out Matilda had an inner ear infection and treatment was started. Her infection was cleared but the tilt remained, giving her a quizzical and curious expression. Tilt or no tilt, Matilda is a true regal beauty.

These two charmers are Willie and Wiley, two boy kittens rescued from the hoarding case in Slidell.

Despite a rough start, they are gentle, loving, and playful! They’re in the New Orleans area and really need a home!
