I have also trained horses that have been successful under me then went on to successful and winning careers with youth riders, both in the show ring and barrels. I take pride in helping students gain confidence, train and develop their personal horses, and learn to ride new styles and acquire new skills. School for Sterling has always fallen on the first or second day of fair, and we just haven't told him he'd miss school due to fair. This year he was given the choice to attend fair or school. He chose fair (and he loves school), which made mommas heart very happy.

He did so well, and woke up this morning ready to ride again and was disappointed he has to wait until tomorrow again.

Another whirlwind of a judging trip took me to Walla Walla and back within 24 hrs.

Two more fairs this year, with the local fair between the two that Sterling has been practicing for, as well as a few clients.

I am ready for a deep breath, some sleep, and uninterrupted time with my own horses--and NO, Sterling cannot steal this horse too!

We finished our Summer Series last nigt, and are looking forward to winter again when we will be back at J Spear Arena!M...

We finished our Summer Series last nigt, and are looking forward to winter again when we will be back at J Spear Arena!

Mark your calendars for the first Sunday of November, December, January, February, and March! We will ride 9-12, and the cost will remain the same this year at $70/person.

As always, pre payment will be required to sign up! These payments are non refundable, non transferable (cannot be used for another date or given to someone else). Exceptions to this will only be made under extraordinary circumstances.

Tuesday night small group barrel lessons will continue at Olsen Acres until weather and/or daylight forces us to move inside. Please contact me privately if you are interested in attending those as we keep that group to a maximum of 5 riders.

As the dust settles on this fall, I will also set the date for the annual Fundamentals to Barrel Racing, so watch for those details.

I will also be setting clinic dates and judging contracts around the first of the year, so if you want to get me scheduled, the earlier the better! I also have a few dates open this fall if anyone wants to set something up.

Marvel and I did a thing! This has always been the end goal. I entered last year, but she was out injured so I ran Mazee. I made a few errors, more by not trusting our training. I rated her down a little to much on the barrels, but it was clean! And she was happy and didn't spook (was my biggest fear)! She just came in arena ready to work--crowd, lights, and all. All this with extremely limited hauling this year. Our last run was 3 weeks ago already. 🫣

Thank you Heather and Laura for entertaining Sterling and the video! He said you guys did more fun things with him than when its just me. But it took a huge load off to know he was in good hands.

Oh Lord, settle my heart and mind this morning as I am off to a last minute judging commitment. I am so blessed and thankful for these opportunities you provide, but I am a planner and feeling rushed.
