Happy Labor Day from Rising Sun Veterinary Clinic!

Just a quick reminder that Rising Sun Veterinary Clinic will be CLOSED Monday, September 7th, in observance of Labor Day.

We hope you get to enjoy the long weekend with your family, friends, and of course, your favorite four-legged companions!

Whether you're relaxing at home, enjoying the sunshine, firing up the grill, or simply taking a well-deserved break, we hope your Labor Day is safe, happy, and relaxing.

Before your dog takes that summer swim, be aware of a serious danger that could be lurking in warm, stagnant water like ponds and lakes. Blue-green algae can look like pea soup, spilled paint, or green foam, and it can be fatal. When in doubt, keep them out!

Fresh, clean water is one of the simplest ways to keep your pet healthy—especially during the warmer months!

✔️ Refill water bowls daily
✔️ Wash bowls regularly to prevent bacteria buildup
✔️ Always provide fresh water at home and on the go

A well-hydrated pet is a happier, healthier pet!

UPDATE: LINC HAS FOUND HIS FOREVER HOME !!!!

💙 MEET MR. LINCOLN ("LINC") – THE BEST FRIEND YOU DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE MISSING. 💙

Some dogs simply leave a mark on your heart... and Linc is one of them.

Linc is a true gentleman with the sweetest soul. He takes treats as gently as can be, is completely house-trained, and has proven he doesn't need a crate (in fact, he'd rather never see one again!). He has excellent manners and knows how to be a very good boy.

🐾 His favorite things?
🎣 "Fishing" by the water
🌿 Helping in the garden
🚶 Going on walks and exploring
🗑️ Even something as simple as taking out the trash—if you're doing it, Linc wants to be right there with you.

He doesn't just want a home... he wants to be part of your life.

Like the intelligent Blue Heeler he is, Linc is incredibly smart, eager to learn, and already knows his basic commands. More than that, he has a heart full of love and loyalty. He thrives on companionship and wants nothing more than to be by his person's side.

Linc would do best with someone who enjoys an active lifestyle. Daily exercise and adventures keep him happy, healthy, and fulfilled. In return, you'll gain a devoted companion who will love you with his whole heart.

❤️ Through no fault of his own, Linc lost the only home he knew when his owner had to surrender him due to health reasons. He's now in a loving foster home, patiently waiting for someone to see what an incredible dog he truly is.

💔 Through no fault of his own... Linc is looking for a second chance. 🐾

Sometimes life changes in ways we can't control.

Linc's owner loved him dearly but had to make the heartbreaking decision to surrender him because of serious health issues. It wasn't because he wasn't wanted—it was because they could no longer care for him the way he deserves.

Now Linc is safe in a wonderful foster home, patiently waiting and hoping someone will see him and say, "That's my dog." ❤️

His foster family says he's been doing great! He's friendly with other dogs, enjoys learning, and has been working hard on his commands every day. He's proving just how smart, loving, and eager to please he really is.

Linc doesn't know why his world changed. He only knows he's waiting for someone to love.
