Y'all I cannot with the amount of Tom Foolery people say on posts in these silkie groups. ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ Telling people a light skin satin ( from chocolate paint breeding) is a mixed breed and it has brahma feathers ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ I am absolutely dying!!!!!!! Lord help me from not wanting to educate every last one of these people.
If you do not understand the genetics, types of colors, don't know the lines the birds came from; then you have absolutely no reason to comment on a post that you truly know nothing about.
One comment said "I bought a silkie from tractor supply so I know that there silkie is a mix like the one I got". ๐คฆโโ๏ธ I cannot make this s**t up if I tried.
So 2 silkies I sold as chicks have lighter skin (from chocolate paint breeding), people are saying they are mixes because they don't have black/blue skin. (My customer posted asking the s*x of these 7 week old babies because they have reddish combs) ๐คฆโโ๏ธ My god! Not all silkies (project colors, chocolates) will have black or blue skin. In fact my gorgeous chocolate paint hens have white skin, chocolate beak, chocolate toe nails and the rest is white. Their combs are a mulberry color. My chocolate paint roo, same thing.
People truly need to be educated or not say anything. Now my poor customer is going to think I am selling mixes because the silkie group says so ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ.
